and im in process of making a Q3TEST 1.06 Ultimate including TONS of Q2 Converted Maps, Models and Stuff in a Big Download
i mean what did q3test has to offer on features? if ppl say they like early counterstrike versions, i get it (strafing, bunnyhopping). but in q3test i just dont see the magic. but hey, i dont judge.
btw the "lost maps" from early pics and trailers, rebuilt in the fan modification "Lost Arena" werent so lovely either. only interesting for quake 3 historians (like us).
I played the one with dm7 and dm17 but without t2. In that version plasma is pink and strafe jumping slows you down. It was supposed to be version for press only but Croatian gaming magazine Hacker put it on their CD anyway and later had to apologize to Activision.
As far as i know there was a build that was played by the CPL
Known as the March or April 1999 Build Featuring The Early Visor shown in the MacWorld Preview, Early Slash that was shown on the Old Quake3Arena.com website back then, Early Doom shown on the Screenshots and Ranger as far as i know there was a video about it too.

i was looking for the build or the Early Visor Model not the Remade one that looks like from Q3TEST 1.05 though.
I also had a remake of it though its kinda not 100% Actual though
it suprises me that they took q3dm4. ok the lightning and the living tentacles must be nice. but the mapdesign is just stupid ffa. today the position of rocket launcher in the middle of the map, under the bridge, is funny.
let me look after the quake 3 bus tour 99. ok i have it. they played in this qtest version dm4, dm8, dm17. i think dm8 was played much much later around 2006 for one season in kuh3liga OR clanbase in TDM. bus tour had the models Klesk, Sarge, Orbb, Athena. and players liked orbb lol.
Yeah it was the best non-Q3TEST build i seen but im still figuring out a way to make or convert maps to IBSP 43 so far i did use a Hex Editor and didnt work much it says "Funny Lump Size" and other crap sometimes it Crashes quake3.exe Q3TEST 1.05's format was 44 and 45 was 1.06 - 1.08
I wonder what compiler works for IBSP Version 43
or is there a 42 compiler too IDK
Hope i found a Compiler for BSP 43.
i do have conv.bsp though how did they Convert Q3TEST1 into a IHV map. they must of gotten a Converter or a Compiler or something
i dont know a good forum for these special questions. for doom there is doomworld and doom3world. mmm who could i ask. ten years back this was no problem.
