mx500 to mx310?!

Bought an mx310 on ebay for a 10er!
My mx500's a year or two old now and looks all dirty and the feet look warn down. so i decided to get a new mouse!
thort id get a mx310 cus they look slightly smaller than my mx500, and i think itl be more comfortable.
anyway, if i just switch my mouse over will i have to play around wiht all the settings/software again so i dont get fucked accel etc...?
aswell, is the mx310 any good? (reveiws say so) whats ur opinions?
