Are there any armed 'rebels' or whatever you want to call them or are they all protesters at the moment?

From what I heard in the video, there was somebody shooting from the crowd before the army opened fire.

There is a video I saw yesterday of shooters in crowds of protesters. Last I heard police/army death toll at 60+ VS protesters at 800+. It's just one massive clusterfuck, no winners. They shouldn't have deposed the elected president it was a recipe for disaster. Maybe putting pressure on Morsi to go back to the polls would have been a better solution.

With pressure from the army I was thinking it would be as a bit like an ultimatum, elections or coup. Obviously something had to be done as pre-coup the country was going nowhere with all the protests.

Maybe they should go down the Turkey route where the army ensures secularism. It doesn't stop an Islamic party getting into power as I think ones in at the moment but they have to keep religion out of their politics.

It always takes a while until the "culture of democracy" sinks into any people, so I guess it's an inevitable phase. The West isn't helping either, so... it can only get worse until it gets better again. :)

I'd rather pay 30% more for a 3-star hotel in Greece, Spain or Italy than go crazy for a 5-star in Hurghada which turns out to be utter shit, as it has for me. Hopefully you are more lucky.

Rotten fruit and a good bite of grilled meat disappearing within seconds because of a few Arabs who for some reason haven't grasped the concept of queueing - 5-stars my ass.

Been there last summer. It certainly wasn't that bad from perspective that it's a beach vacation and there is not much to travel and look at. You can't really compare vacation in Egypt/Turkey to vacation in Italy/Spain/Greece since in last people travel not to sit around at your hotel and giving no fuck unlike they do when traveling to Egypt/Turkey.

Maybe better luck next time? It really wasn't that bad, although what really matters is not the place you're at but people you're hanging with.

You should watch out where you get the informations from.

I've already seen this kind of situations happening before. It is easy to get a few snipers to shoot at police to get them ripost and then US will say : look police shooting people it is dictature etc.

Actualy all thoose strategies are well known by the art of war aficionados.

If you realy want to prove yourself that you care about it and want to understand what is geopolitic then you should see how this informations is used in Russian medias, Chiness medias, US/euro medias, egyptian medias, middle east medias, etc etc etc and get as much pov as you can. Try to see who is behind which media is a very decisive quest to the truth.

I don't believe muslims can ever result in anything good in a modern free country. Its not idiotic for me to say that and not get sad when they continually show the world how dysfunctional they are at their grass roots.

This is never a religion that will integrate, everything about it is one sided, and those that tow the line will only do so until they gain in numbers and then they will turn on the people that took them in.

I think we both know I'm not an idiot and highly intelligent.

I just want people in Europe/USA to wake up and smell the coffee. Its not going to work, its going to end in a civl war everywhere.

This word should get more use IMO.

1. Tolerast

A mix of "tolerant" and "pederast", hyper tolerant person, who will sacrifice all of his beliefs just to avoid being thought of as "intolerant". He'd rather let himself to be fucked in the ass than do or say something that is even remotely "intolerant".

Used mostly in russian informal speech, along with copyrast.

When a black guy works at Starbucks and one hesitates to ask him for "black coffee"

If the world would be majorly establishment of atheisism I would eat a hatful of shit if there were any large population of agnostics around. They mostly consist of people who don't care anything else except how they look in the eyes of others.

Looks like no one here know anything about islam (or anything else for that mater), yet you are all judging it. Nothing new.

You have all been well trained to be idiotics thinking they know everything about everything. Before learning anything, you have to learn how you (how all humans) work, judging is a totaly normal and vital thing, but not knowing how our judgment work is a big problem. The brain has always ideas about everything and hates emptyness.

Only a few of you will erect from the crowd with more knowledge more wisdome and less alienation. The others are meaningless.

Many countries did this during primitive times, its just the British did it better than most. I don't see how justifying present behavior by citing the past is relevant as the world was a much simpler place then.

We've done plenty of good since then, more than most, why do you think everyone wants to come here?
Also MANY people now live in the UK, Muslims are bad news for most of them if they keep doing what they are they doing because Muslim way of life only benefits muslims. Its simply incompatible with anyone else and the second they gain in numbers they will keep pushing for more and more until they erode whatever country they are in inside Europe. This is not just a British problem.

They can't even kill an animal for food humanely, it has to be some barbaric ritual whilst the animal has to endure being read a passage from their fake book.

Look how Spain are trying to cause problems for Britain now over Gibraltar, to try and deflect the real problems of their country.

Its the same in Argentina, what they don't seem to get is.....

Falklands existed before Argentina did, and Spain has its own little dirty secret when it comes to taking land that is not theirs, for example, they have their own little falklands in the form of ceuta, in north africa, but hey, lets not mention that along with what they did to the Indians.

Its all BS. Life will only get harder thanks to capitalism and things will change very quickly. I hope it does, cos then we can start kicking out a ton of shit in this country and get back to being great again.

Ironically, this happened right after the masses overthrew the Mubark's "dictatorship" and democratically elected the president.

That's bull. It was overthrown in the same manner as they are fighting now. Rioters versus soldiers. So it did not start after "democracy was established".

wow, i straight up don't have the courage to watch any of those

how the fuck do you escalate to this point? how stubborn can you be on both sides to reach this level of atrocity?

let's say you win in the end.. you'll rule over a pile of rubble, with a population damaged and traumatized for 2 generations, half of which hates your guts forever and will try to get revenge on first occasion.

Are you talking about Sweden?

"The Swedish migration board decided Tuesday that all Syrian refugees coming to Sweden could become permanent residents due to the deteriorating conditions in Syria"
all? the name of the topic should be changed to "holy f#ck Sweden"
