the quality of your connection can change over time, especially with cable. it could be they sold a lot of lines in the last weeks and what you are experiencing is the infamous, benelux style, 'cable warp'.

is that provider a cable provider as well?

to describe my lag...i can still see the game going on, enemys and projectiles, but my model is frozen on the spot and i get connetion problem displayed.

so weird and still not fixed for me.

I would not know then. It just started to happen a few times, like in an official nation game. Three of our players went 999, all same provider. This happens quite regular now.

Any other provider, I wouldn't know :)

Have Ziggo now, used to be Multikabel in N-H province. It was miles better before, hate it when big companies buy out the smaller ones, only ends up bad for the consumer.

i believe it is not a .de problem. and you´re right ofc it sucks major ass in duel. its funny cuz you have to remember the timings and guess what the opponent does (for 20 seconds)^^

I had the same problem. When it happens, pings seemed to be dropped locally for just that servers address. I reset the tcpip stack and after that I haven't had any troubles for a while now.

did you try other games, to see if you lag there as well ?
I know some people that have specific lags to quake, after their computer or router is on for several hours, but doesn't happen on other games.
Edit: The lags they had were exactly like u described 4 seconds lags, every 8 minutes or so. That doesn't seem like a connection thing.

You could try urban terror, its like quakeish movement with counterstrike environment.
