It was ment to give people an overall idea of what the fixture was about, as to my knowledge this kind of fixture has not been done before here. Though if it just confuses people I'll change it.

However, I should have published this at the same time as the other fixture so people could actually choose (as now some people are out of money already).

I've noticed that some people don't really care who wins as long as it is a player from their own region, so this is a chance for them to bet.

I think it is wise, the more options you have the better.

I wish we'd have lots of different and interesting fixtures for each major event, as long as the starting odds are somewhat accurate.

If you don't like, you can always choose not to bet. As I've done hundreds of fixturesand every now and then I stumble upon people thinking it is unfair. However, neither life and especially not betting is fair. Sometimes you see a random guy winning a million whilst you've been playing stryktipset for 10 years without winning.

Thankfully if people think they can do anything better on this site, they can! As this is a community driven site, just hit contribute and prove it! (If you can't do the actual fixture, do it as an admin request with all the details)

if you think this is the betting system 'stryktipset' uses, maybe you should look it up because it's not.. thus not even remotely comparable

making fixtures on this site isn't "for anyone".. if someone were to do anything better, as you put it, would you be OK canceling these fixtures? because that's what this would mean by posting these before anyone else had the chance to even attempt anything better.. as there can't just be a swarm of fixtures regarding the same basic thing..

You've been here for 7 years yet I've never seen you suggest a fixture, so I'd say you've had plenty of chances.

I understand your point that a fixture such as "winner" will have a greater impact on the overall score than a fixture such as "who will win match x". However, three such "match" fixtures will have the same impact as one "winner" fixture with 10 options.

Also, people seem to really enjoy these "Winner" fixtures and so do I, so unless there is lots more thinking it is an issue, they'll continue, as they've done for the past 6 years.

when was the last time people were given 40 times the money odds on stermy? or 7 times the money on cooller? even if i weren't #1 these odds are just as bad as any broken fixture..

he is right in a way though. with those two bets we are not betting on the outcome of a single match but actually lots and the odds are according to this.
seeing as we haven't seen a reset for quite a while we might just try something out to make the betting on here less boring. the way it is right now, one fixture every 2-3 weeks where you're lucky to get 2.5:1 this has become very boring unless your nick is either rep or cymozz.

this is an entirely different subject though.. me and cymozz didnt start out with 200 grand.. just keep making fixtures that aren't fucked up like these ones and i'm sure other will catch up..

thing is... you keep talking about this 'betting season' while we both know there should've been a reset literally ages ago. i'd be all for reseting and starting new with this tournament. then i wouldn't really care about removing one of the two bets...

Not to detract from your position, but for the sake of clarification, the last reset was immediately prior to ESWC Masters of Paris last year, on 2008.07.04. That aside, I agree with belief in a need for more frequent resets (I personally initiated the petition for the last one).
