Have you seen how good or bad are the new 360Hz IPS in terms of blackness? I still don't know if they are better than the good 240Hz TN pannels for Quake (like the BenQ models).

I'll see if nvc respond to the other thread, he seems to have tested quite a bit of monitors.

I've been waiting for a these mysterious OLED monitors for a while. Seems like the ones that are to be released later this year will all be 60 Hz.

It's like LG wants us to buy their TVs which are not ideal. I don't want my display to have eyes and ears

TVs have been known to look for and connect to open wifi networks for years now. GDPR might have helped a bit here on the continent.

It won't be long before they start integrating 3/4/5g modems in them just for the analytics alone.

Do you have a better explanation for why TVs are so much cheaper than monitors? Cause it's not just about the "economy of scale" during actual display production.

Why do they insist in making huge monitors? can't they see most people use 21-27 for desktops? wtf

HDMI 2.1 and DP 1.4a videocards (for 4k in 240 Hz and even more) are exist now.

OLED still isn't there, but looks like some decent 27" options are coming now. Irks me though that they don't have black frame insertion which is still needed for sample and hold, and burn in is still a question mark.

Why do they do this? Don't they see 24" is the ideal size for 99% of people?
Anyway, which ones would be Quake approved? I only trust this site to decide if a monitor is good enough.
