i think you are taking the word "war" too literally. it's a metaphor for their arms race (or "the greatest country in the world" race). usa won, soviet union lost, but there are many reasons for the outcome.

I understand where you are coming from. But really can't it be credited to the eastern europeans for really bringing down the soviet empire? Wasn't the afghan war, economics and just in general the way the soviet union was ran that led to the end of the soviet union? Isn't that why there were mass scale protest that brought down the soviet union and all those eastern european countries gainign their indepdence?

I think meganations and big political unions are a bad thing. Too much centralization and are easier to have more corrupt governments. Look at Sweden, Norway, Finland and Switzerland. All countries with less than 10 million that is so much easier to manage. Plus have some of the best results.

At the prime of Yugoslavia, which technically is eastern Europe, the Balkan population was living in a great standard while most of the European countries like Poland, Czech Republic etc were worse than Zimbabwe.

I don't know much about the UK's economy and standard at that point in time. The point stands that after the Battle of Waterloo the Rotschilds managed to buy the whole UK's economy with pennies on a dollar because of one rumor in the stock exchange. This means every since then the UK has been slaves of the banking system owned by the Global Banking elite and its been treated like a gypsy ever since.

The problem with every European country is the baking system. They create money out of thin air and lend it with interest. The government is borrowing the money from the federal banks with interest. So all money is being loaned into existence. Its only a matter of time before the interest exponentially grows to the point where real wealth cant match it. GG you have become a debt slave and you are never getting out of it.

The idea of European Union in its core is not a bad idea, the only issue with the concept is the Euro and the debt currency. The Europe has allowed the 0.001% to manipulate the whole system into acquiring the wealth of all the European countries and then stealing the wealth from the people as well. Its not enough that they control all the major businesses, media, corporations, governments, they want your fucking house, and In Jamerios case his brothers house and his dog.

All in all the whole problem is banks, money and interest when you get to the core of it.

Which are considered to represent a distinct minority in eastern Europe, well more like the Arabs in the UK, this is why the European press was barking all day on how we in Eastern Europe terrorize the poor gypsies. By the year 1991 US of A was spending alone on its military more than the whole world combined. And they needed this sort of military to keep the petro dollar, because the moment the petro dollar collapses the US of A collapses. Sadam, Gadafi and whoever else had the slightest idea of deviating from the petro dollar got dealt with swiftly.

In conclusion because of the petro dollar scam the US of A was able able to gain so much wealth and strengthen their military to a point where Russia had no chance and had to run like a little girl from Afghanistan and all other fronts.

The US had pretty much nothing to do with it.
Things went pretty smoothly and quietly, had the US played a role there would have been war and massive bloodshed. The US has never made a habit of making things better, they have nothing against making things worse though.

It was not the merit of the US but more the merit of those who were living and leading in Russia. My personal educated guess is that once the upper class solidified the position in the new Russian society the guys wanted to get ever more richer, which they could not achieve under the communist rules.

The decision of shutting down the Soviet Union idea was based on fucked up economy they got after producing outdated machinery for over 40 years. The had stolen everything that was worth it from the invaded countries and started producing crappy medieval stuff shortly after, which resulted into zero competitiveness on international markets. The GDP was dropping each year and the economical difference between USSR and the West was getting bigger each year, not to mention the upkeep cost in order to keep the countries obedient and to prevent bad stuff (ie the Hungarian revolt) from happening.
The soviets left most of the invaded countries on pre-ww2 level technologically and economically.

Soviet Union collapse was an inevitable economic consequence of planned economy (i.e. bad quality goods) combined with destruction of agriculture by Stalin. USSR was doomed to buy food (grain) from foreign countries and couldn't offer any of its own goods for food except natural resources, which only could last for so long.
