I played Halo and I honestly couldn't see the appeal of it at all.

If it was a PC title, it would have been thrown in the bin before it could get to a sequel. The only reason it was carried on was because it was Xbox's flagship FPS.

The Silent Cartographer was so awesome though, one of the coolest levels I've ever played in a game.

Halo 1 on PC was pretty popular, and is still played by a lot of people.

so far the campaign is quite nice, probably the best one out of the halos imo.
the whole game is still centrered around the multiplayer aspect though even when loading up single player campaign. all the unlockables seem to be things to customize the look of your soldier.

halo waypoint is nice too with loads of videos and stuff to watch.

I recently picked up an xbox 360 and halo reach and i was amazed how addictive it was :P
Ofc its not quake and it will never come close but its pretty darn entertaining :)

Playing fps with a controller is a huge challenge for me tho,not used to it at all but im still having fun.

using the controller with FPS games did put me off for a long time, i just couldnt do it. does take a while to get used to it, not saying its anywhere near as good as mouse/keyboard but it does get easier. but i did find a few games that ive found really fun and addictive that are console exclusive FPS's. 'Forge' mode sounds interesting in halo so going to try that later.
plus ive been playing bad company 2 pretty much every night for the last 2 months or so on xbox live. looking forward to the vietnam DLC.

I love gears of war 2 ....the design etc is brilliant imo :) The game is new for me because i just recently got an xbox :)

yeah i really love the gears of war games, gow3 is looking like its going to be really good too

i highly recommend forza 3 as well if you like racing games.
