I think all TDM 4v4 leagues and cups must have this maplist in future:

- Campgrounds
- Deep Inside
- Grim Dungeons
- Hidden Fortress
- Intervention
- Realm of Steel Rats
- Purgatory

Leviathan is't good TDM map, prolly it's better for FFA and CA.

Dreadful Place can't judge right now, but I think it's not good also.

Then if ID will add some good maps like Purgatory:

1st to be removed: Real of Steet Rats 2nd: Campgrounds, 3rd: Intervention, 4th: Grim Dungeons, 5th: Deep Inside and we will have TDM maplist with 7 QL only maps.

Also I think all leagues/cups must set bo5 for play-offs.

IMHO it's also better to make groups for 1st round of each cup, not boring single.

I like cpm4, one of my fav. maps, but I think in QL it will be not popular map, that's why I think it must be 1st to be removed from maplist if new good map will come.

If -dm6, what map will be 7th right now? Only Purgatory is good enough to be in pro maplist IMHO.

give dreadful place a shot in some tourney, if its good then add it aswell and remove 1 map, or even try some weird map picking style and have 8 map pool..

group-play bo3 or maybe bo5, im not sure. playoffs bo5 for sure. grandfinals bo7 :)

dm6 is a boring, cessy piece of shit. dm7 i actually liked and it was xt's best map but it needs to go aswell.

everyone who knows of front's lineup and your personal playstyle can obviously see through your posts and why leviathan is really bad in your mind.

Same with xt and dm6/dm7, right? :D I'm not against removing dm6, but I think it's better to remove it, when 2-3 good new QL maps will come. And by the way I'm pretty sure dm20 will be home map of FRONT in future. P.S. I remember the times, when 80% of community only played dm6 both in TDM in 1v1. Now ppl who are not from q3 community hates dm6, cos they can't do good on it against players who have big exp. on it.

like i said, dm7 is/was our best map. purri for example can beast easily on dm6 and he has loads of experience on it, but he still doesnt think its a good tdm map

Well but there are tdmers who thinks it's a good map, and they enjoy playing it. Did you ever watched demos of zyv or forever on dm6? It's really interesting to watch!

there are some old school q3 die hards who cant let go of a shitty map because they have 10 years of experience on it, which no one can catch up with. i've watched plenty of dm6 games and i think its the shittiest map ever. the quad area alone is reason enough to get rid of it. i played dm6 back in 2001 or whatever and was already bored with it, i was astonished it was still being played when QL came around

stagnant map pool is one of the biggest reasons of q3's downfall, dont repeat the mistakes in QL

ospdm6, ospdm5, cpm4 not new maps, it's u retard who need to play it again, to understand are they good or not. Purgatory is gr8 TDM map, everyone will understand it after 5 games. Leviathan is shity map, no need to play it for month to understand it. Still may be Leviathan will be in maplist, cos some teams will take it as there home maps, cos they want to win, not to play interesting matches :D

It would be nice if we had only new maps - but then again I would not mind to play ospdm5, 6 and cpm4 for another year or so -_-

I've played leviathan so many times on focus but I'm sadly still not convinced. I agree that it might better suit FFA or CA.

Everyone would like or dislike one or the other map, but setting that as the criteria to decide a map list is just stupid.

All pro TDM teams should be invited to brainstorm on a good new map pool. No doubt old maps are good but dragging them to 2010 and further is sheer wastage. Also, id should live up to its promise of constant updates which should include new tactical maps for TDM, CTF and Duel.

Well, as I said in the 1-day cup thread, I liked all the new maps. I feel like all of them deserve a chance in the map pool next season, and I eat my words about Dreadful Place, it was actually quite fun to play. I was just too fast to assume things. 8 maps in the pool, only keeping dm14 and dm20 from pre-patch maps in the pool, and use some strange map pick style :)

If maplist will be 5 maps, I'm ok with removing dm6. But if maplist will be 7 maps, then dm6 must be in!

5 maplist:

- Realm of Steel Rats
- Deep Inside
- Intervention
- Purgatory
- Hidden Fortress

7 maplist:

- Campgrounds

Indeed Marius, Purgatory is a new map, and it's seems to be a really good TDM map. dm20 is also gr8 map, and it's still a new one IMHO.
