Was cool, but Ocarina was a system-maker. Best game to ever grace any platform ever. It's just so ridiculously good it never ceases to amaze me.

true, i came up with Mario 64 because it reminded me of lots of very good moments. All that time spent with my friend in Paris trying to get all the 120 stars... And we eventually managed to get them all by ourselves! the day after, he lost the game's saves >.<

I agree. What an amazing & innovative game. It's probably my favourite single player game. I played it recently and it's still a pleasure to play - it's aging well. :-)

Me. darkmoon caverns uk/pal edition sub 1 minute 48 (rub against sides of loops; tap accelerator like your life depends on it; collect bananas) fasest time of "i'm the best" N64 magazine. weeee! :-)

dkr was great but still liked mk64 way more, though

I was faster:)

MK64 was a better game on the whole, but it was shit compared to the snes version.
Too many shortcuts/bugs on the N64 one ruined a potentially great game.
And 3 red shells?
WTF was that about. It was like UNREAL for driving games.

I used to see times that were really fast on other tracks as well, I felt I was only really quick on Darkmoon Caverns (and it took me ages to get really fast as well) and never understood how people could get quick times on all tracks. I presume TT was fastest for all? Fancy sharing some inside secrets on tips that made some people so fucking quick? Would an autofire joypad've worked for the tapping accelerator thing? I used to do it manually. :-)

I think I would take this to my grave if I never found out :-) Some of the times in those magazines were insane but I of course knew a few were exploited bugs (e.g. like the loops on Darkmoon Caverns). I used to try so hard, and never get anywhere close. :-)

Blast Corps! What an awesome, original game. To get all gold medals was easily doable with time and practice, but the platinum's were tooooo hard. You had to be a bit good to get them :-)
