Xerp only made the netcode better, that balance was always there, it was just masked by bad netcode and shitty connections at the time
That's why in both of them the RL and the PG are theoretically better (faster) than what they are in Q3.?
The purpose of QL's so-called nerfs (hitscan) and so-called buffs (projectile) is to emulate Q3's weapon balance in an unlagged environment, but you just can't do that by tweaking some numbers here and there, that's impossible.You say it's there to emulate it, I say it is to alter it. It's down to perspective I think. I have this notion that balance and netcode are separate, which doesn't sound that right now that I think about it.
