These imbalances will be seen as "Meta" like in most titles.

Kind of just how in Dota 2 they've not so long ago removed the MMR ranking system from an actual number to the quality of how you perform in game. Introducing 6 month leagues/rankings.

The downside, you get matched playing with people who have literally never played the game before and then it's so damn easy to exploit the imba things in game.

As far as i know, german tax office accused him of hiding income (the money he won in ql). They rushed his house armed with a lot of tax officers and took a lot of stuff from him (the way german gov handle this stuff). Also his computer was taken for evidence. They put him on court which is no fun, because beeing accused of not paying tax is punished very hard in germany.
The whole trial went almost five years and really costs him a lot of money. This is the reason he hasnt played for a long period of time, because he didnt even had the money to afford a new computer and internet. I think all this stuff is finally over and i think this is what he meant with "that is what ive been missing for years".

Like I said, im dont know 100 percent of his story, but this is what i know and he is not talking bullshit.

Yeah it's pretty shitty that you need to pay tax on what is seen as a "gift" in some respects.

It's kind of how like the football players in the UK get away from getting destroyed by UK super tax laws.

It's ok to pay tax on some prizes, but still having this kind of problems with ql $...i don't think he won big sum, none was able to live with ql prizes in the last years (qcon + online cups)

If you fall under a certain threshold, it's totally understandable, as far as I'm aware Germany and Sweden have some serious tax laws/rules, they will generally come down hard on you.

He keeps mentioning severe money issues. He said it's bad enough that even him winning a several QC compos wouldn't nearly be enough, but when I asked if it was the tax ppl who are going after he said 'no'.
