get q4max to play with some bots, you have to anyway because q4 is full of bugs, glitches and game crashes which is why its dead online pub servers

drop the console and type clear, then listcvars, and then condump cvars, and a cvars txt will be made in your q4base folder

its impossible to explain recoding and changes to what bits of code run on the server or client, instead of both, which just waste resources and cpu, then either side will just be overwritten by a snapshot or message

if you blow up a vehicle without q43a and the explosion parts work, they will just flood the server and make it shutdown if you game scraps by 1fps for 4mins

q43a has 1000s of small fixes which give it better performance online, and plenty of recoding, many changes

the ingame mp menu when you press ESC doesnt have no lag in q43a when playing on a dedicated server or acting as a client

you are just better off trying it on a dedicated online server, or with you mate and a listen server etc

I asked here because i think that esr>ql forums in terms of useful information and help.

If i would ask it in ql forums, the hole thread could get deleted as it has "no connection to QL" and lots of trolland idiots would say that it is dead and there is no point to do anything while here i havent got such a reply here which means esr users are more "mature". Plus ql forums has lots of unexperienced idiots who think they know everything and who post only bullshit replies. Those ppl just drive me crazy when you are 1000% sure that you are right and try to prove that they are completely wrong.

While even though esr is really "trolly", everytime i asked something i did get an answer i needed. People here are just WAY MORE experienced in terms of hadware, software and quake questions.

ql aint so different from q4, you just dont have crouchsliding, thats all. Maybe you will need to learn the maps, but thats not a big problem

The weapons are total shit, The maps are total shit, no Eax HD, the movement is total shit, the balance is messed up, the game isnt free to play - irritating.

Alot of lamers with 20perc shaft are in top 30 world qlive, Which means, qlive is shit in terms of hardcore gaming.

I installed the lastest q4 1.4.2 point realse and it doesnt even load. I get and "Error: couldnt find the main script (some folder) main/scripts"

you have to install 1.3, before 1.4.2 full or update

I already had version 1.3 before installing 1.4.2

and i downloaded the patch from http://www.quakeunity.com/ website, where you p0rt seem to be the admin

hardly a admin, the site sucks ass and dont allow q43a, and it would be converted to use null nuke and the site would work and still have a forum

scripts/main.script is in pak010.pk4, online play need the game to be still packed in pk4 files for pure servers to work

Reinstall and use proper stuff.

Well Shadowmaster raped baksteen almost in zeros. Baksteen is qlive top 20-60 or smthing + he had plenty of q4 experience (4 years q4 playing.)
