I tried LoL recently, didn't get past the training videos.. I quit things pretty quickly If I'm not instantly enjoying something.

I've also tried tf2 and bf2, didn't really enjoy them... I always end up going back to QL :S

Played it, pretty cool idea, but movement is far too slow.

Needs menu systems etc, but with a bit more work it could definitely be more fun.. I don't see why minecraft just couldn't add these features.

You should play Metro 2033. Good singleplayer fps with great atmosphere. You can get it cheap at Steam and it will stress your new graphics card ;)

Exploring was nontheless rewarded because you could find extra ammunition, filters etc. Still more freedom then in a CoD game. But yes, Metro 2033 has its flaws. I couldnt stand the ammo system where some sort of ammo was also a currency and I never was able to say which one is which.

Length was ok. For my playthrough I needed 7,5 hours. For a fps I think that is sufficient.

Maffia 2 was good SP, nothing deep or outstanding, but still fun .(won't stress your new card tbh.)
Witcher2 is not bad and looks great, worth the try imo.

You haven't played minecraft yet? That'll easily keep you busy for a lot longer than a weekend, but it's quite a waste of your video card. =P

The new patch should be coming out in a month or so, and it'll be changing everything so much that you'll almost be required to start a new world. Don't get too attached to anything that you build.

x3 games.. eg reunion or terran conflict.. massive long-term game.. but should just install it for gfx and awesome size of ships and stations.
stalker: call of pripyat is good. might be a bit slow. but good atmosphere.
bc2 for mp definitely.

edit: forgot to mention movies..
Season of the Witch - nice medieval feel and atmosphere
Drive Angry - funny and random :D
Unknown - turned out to be a good thriller movie!
