Hi, i have the old version diamondback running 1000 hz on that by the usb-hack thing doesnt really work well so i had it at 500 hz... Recently i bought the deathadder that supports 1000 hz in the driver. After that i found out theres a newer version of diamondback out the "3G" one... Now does this one support 1000 hz in the driver too? or you still need need a fix for it? and if so... Does it run 1000 hz then, or is it just the 700 hz i've been reading about?

Why do you need 1000hz? 500hz should be enough.

You don't need 1000hz.

No one needs 1000hz.

Anything beyond 500hz will not make a single bit of difference, except it will make some games wig out.

500Hz is more accurate in most of the situations...and between 2ms or 1ms is pretty hard to notice a difference...

if i dont need 1000 hz then why does my diamondback 500 hz feel a lot less accurate than the DA? -dpi perhaps?

Most likely because of the transmission unit on the DA which is USB 2.0 and made for running at 500hz native. Mice that use USB 1.1 which afaik run at 125hz native have IMO never been as smooth at 500hz as those who are 500hz (or 1000hz) native.

1000hz screwed around with my DA too. Infact, I played ESWC NL and I used 1000hz so sometimes my mouse buttons didn't respond at all, causing me to miss RA jumps on ztn and miss simple midair rails. I thought my mouse was broken but when I came home I found out I used 500hz and had no trouble. Lesson learned: before a tournament always check your current mouse settings! :P

lol i thought i was going crazy when suddenly it felt like i couldnt shoot, guess i'll order the 3g DB and then set it to 500 hz and expect it to be as accurate :)

It's a Q3 engine problem which makes 1000hz not usable, regardless of mouse with in_mouse 1. Not sure if you get the same problem with in_mouse -1.

i think its cause its some firmware thing, anyways, got the diamondback 3g now and it works fine with 500hz, the deathadder didnt work properly with 1000 hz btw.

I do run my DA with 1000 hz as well and it's smooth as hell. Used to use some REALLY old 400 dpi MS mouse before and I would not like to get back to this, under no circumstances.

How to change USB Polling rate? I knew my Diamondback 3G could run 1000Hz, but by default it ran 125Hz and they didn't give any option to change the polling rate.
