Surf around the site and inquire for proofs for your theses. You will find a lot, then you should be able to draw the correct conclusions.
Generalizations make it easier to come to terms with your surroundings. Black and White is easier to grasp than the many shades of grey and the ability to firmly move around in it.

An idiot will never know that he is one.

xenophobia, insecurity, low self esteem, arrogance, intolerance, etc forgot to add stupidity :)

exactly i think generalisation / prejudice is what leads to every single thing thats really bad in our world today. If you look at any of our major problems, it will all come from some kind of generalisation.

hmm, your generalising!

all euro's stank of sweaty armpits .

pic?

Ask stunt, Makaveli and kdawg - they can tell you.

"exactly i think generalisation / prejudice is what leads to every single thing thats really bad in our world today. If you look at any of our major problems, it will all come from some kind of generalisation."

wrong..

the only thing that makes this word bad is religion.. personally i believe in nothing.. i dont believe in a god, jesus, buddah.. the tooth fairy.. i dont even believe in fate.

i reckon we live.. then we die.. there isnt shit afterwards.. you dont goto another place.. or live another life.. you just dont do anything simply because you no longer exist.

everywar in the entire world has been caused by different religions.. its pathetic? how can you fight for a god you have never seen.. n never will.. how can you justify a religious cause without a shred of proof.

all your lives you were taught god exists.. so if i teach my child that humans came from Mars and used to be green in 2002.. im 100% sure he would fight to the death for it.. because he will blindly believe it!

everywar in the entire world has been caused by different religions

Not every war. USSR's invasion of Afghanistan in 1979 was politically motivated and USA's war on Iraq is for economic and political reasons. Maybe you meant to say that most wars have been fought over religion. :)

Politics is rises largely from religious sources. Why else would every US dollar bill say "In God We Trust"? USSR and USA clashed in Afghanistan because the USA's policies are driven by Christianity and USSR's were driven by atheistic views.

Christianity vs. Atheism or Capitalism vs. Communism? I believe there is a slight difference there ... might be wrong though. :) Anywayz ... I dont see the point of arguing here. We still have the examples of USA's current wars to safely state that not ALL wars are religously motivated but can have economic reasons (or political) as well.

Being a semi-religous person I just couldnt appreciate blaming all the wrongs in this world on religion. :)

I don't believe in anything either, but I 'hope' for something

ya religion is dumb, only cuases problems. im gonna teach my kid that flying planes into building with lead to a better afterlife.

Generalizations exist in order to describe the observed average. This is all. One can apply it to any human endeavor, not necessarily human behavior/interaction.

The reason? The human brain searches for patterns. That's what it does. What a brit sees on BBC relating to the Americans will be strung together to form a cohesive whole. It's an evolutionary mechanism, if you will.

Imagine you're walking along a run-down ghetto street, and a congregation of black people wearing colors start staring you down. Your brain, conditioned by the patterns you may have seen on TV, reacts as if in a dangerous situation. You may even experience the sympathetic fight-or-flight response.

Now imagine you recognized that a run-down lower-class neighborhood could potentially contain such gangs. You avoid the area. Generalizations keep us safe.

...and learn more about Nazis before you bash them.

I'm also uncertain about something. Was your post supposed to be hypocritical? Lets hope it was a thinker.

you are too wise to be arguing in this naively retarded thread, please stop ;(

I feel the need to argue with idiots.

fred på jorden

that would never happen.. though I'd love that..
:(

The majority of ( insert disdain ) in USA.
