Today morning we picked up aSim3tRie and went to FilaForum. On the spot everybody was playing the UT2003 demo. I had a go at it too but I didn't play long enough to give the final verdict to it. aSi said: it runs as shitty as the old beta :) I will try to get GitzZz and vicious to share their impressions with us but right now they are both busy with TDM and 1on1.

Before the tournament matches kicked off, I went to the ramp they use to transport the computers through and made a little bet with Ryo-Saeba. I was lucky enough to be taped by an NGI admin so you will be able to see (I will upload the vid by nightfall).

Right now everyone is playing TDM (including me and aSim3tRie in the dYe team). Looks like we are the only ones who can make shuuk sweat a little bit (of course if vicious and Ryo are in the lineup). dYe and shuuk are winning their matches constantly.

Because I am busy with the Pink Squad interviews and UT TDM I have no idea what is going on with the other Open Cups and tournaments, I just know that vicious and Ryo-Saeba are doing well in their WCG qualifiers. But don't fret quakers, I will get you an interview with the WCG it champion as soon as I know who he is ;)

The official UT2003 presentation is over. First, a nice guy from Infogrames came on the stage and explained the basics of UT2K3 and also the changes compared to UT.

Then, LT and shuuk came onto the stage and played a friendly presentation TDM game. Unfortunately, they had no headphones and what was worse, the game still doesn't support in-eyes spectating so I had to talk about everything BUT the match ):

The visual aspect of the game owns, especially from a third person camera, it is really something nice to watch. The match itself was just FFA, nothing special apart from the fact that I was trying to distract GitzZz as well as possible. In the end, shuuk won it easilty and the top scorer was frag^m.

After that, I got the Infogrames people to sit on the couch with frag^m and me and I made a nice interview with them. The NGI crew with yoyo as the lead man are preparing a video from the presentation (the interview included). I asked a few interesting questions and they really tried to give satisfying answers. I aslo tried to ask the beautiful Francesca for a coffee. What happened next..? Download the movie. I will link you as soon as possible.

After the official interview, the people from Infogrames came to me asking about my impressions on the game and also if I have any suggestions. I tried to convince them about eye-candy and they seemed to understand, let's hope that they will forward what I said to someone important. Anyway, very nice of them.

I have been all up to ears in the UT TDM competition playing with dYe or coaching them (coaching is really too much to say what I did). It was funny to see a team consisting of a few freelance players reach so far. In the other half of the knockout bracket shuuk won their games very easily and I can tell you that GitzZz's TDM problems are a myth. dYe lost their semi final 2-1 in maps against aAa|Fx after a good match.

Before the two last matches in UT TDM, XSUnreality: Gold - my movie was screened. It was strange to wacth it together with a few dozen of people. I didn't even watch their reactions, I couldn't get my eyes off the big screen. I just heard applause after a particularly nice frag. Being congratulated on a job well done with the movie was a nice thing also :)

Then it was UT again for me. I played in the match for third place but I am really too tired to remember the other clan's name... Oh, just looked at the scores table: A51. It was fairly easy so we started ffaing after the first map. In the final aAa|Fx was no match for shuuk, I should get the demos from the Germans so you will see for yourselves.

The last thing I did on Saturday was playing against GitzZz on DM-Turbine. Now I am a believer, a believer in the so-called GitzZzglueck (gitzluck).
