hOly: Hi, would you tell us something about Gunzoids history, please?
strudles: Hi, well... tricky one as I joined 6 months ago, but basically we are only about 1 year old. Our clan was formed by farside and riceman, then about 6 months ago mame joined, then me, then shortly after deus became active soz, for going slow, people keep messaging me :P. About that time the team just kind of came together, and we have gone from strength to strength ever. Since picking up class players like jaffa and dan, although dan no longer plays for us in tdm. Basically, gunzoids started for me, when they won savlan5, I was in NME then. After that we finished joint 5th in BWDML, then joint 3rd last season and won CB Opencup V.

hOly: Why did you choose the name "Gunzoids"?
strudles: Fuck knows :P. Wait, I'll ask someone. Deus said "i just wanted it to be 'gayzoids' but i hit the wrong keys". Gunzoids was named after those crazy japanese toys the zoids according to riceman, although alternate theorys are that it a clever attempt to get manga mad dreg to join us.

hOly: Would you describe each of GunzoiDs member?
strudles: Yeah, sure:

Juz - Egg head, oxford educated coach, taking special courses in 'when the quad spawns, why the quads spawns and just what is this quad thing anyway ?'.
strudles - progressive trick jumpar only on maps not in the la7 map list.
deus - abusive scottish tennis player with a ping complex, and who gets erections from getting battle suits and quads.
farside - small gnome like creature that lives on Wimbledon common thats get very angry when rockets go through people.
jaffa - master of the void.

hOly: Did you practice a lot before Lan Arena 7?
strudles: Did, are and will! So yes, we have been practising for the last week with the LA7 team, and will continue to do so up until the day before, that will end with sven goran farside giving 'power play' descriptions on his whiteboard in a secret location in Wimbledon.

hOly: OMG. Do you like the map list for Lan Arena 7?hOly: Who are you afraid of most ?
strudles: Hmm, i'm not entirely sure we are afraid of anyone. We used to have this mental block over playing IRON, but now they are not competing.

We have had such good results recently, and from all our recent practises we have felt that there's no one we can't take a good game to. I think the biggest fear has to be the unknown so therefore the US clans, and the russians.

hOly: Ok. Then tell me who's going to win Lan Arena 7?
strudles: I'm not entrily sure of the linup for the othre teams atm ? Is prozac playing for QPO and is panicore playing for IC ? I kinda lost track.

hOly: Yeah, both will.
strudles: Well, I think it will be one of IC, forze and QPO.

hOly: What about American Clans?
strudles: Is ZeRo4 playing for 519? Well, I just don't know how 519 etc. will face up to the EU clans. I watched all their playoff games on gtv but I'm not sure how good they actually are as a team. I don't think a US clan will win. I think it will be forze, ic or qpo.

hOly: How do you think you will do at la7?
strudles: Well, I think we can beat a lot of the clans there, but we could also be beaten by most of them. I think most games will be decided by a few frags. I think from 4-16th.

hOly: How do you feel being in the group with QPO, rG and D&M ?hOly: Are you planing to drunk yourself, as never before ?
strudles: Good question! It will be tricky, as I've got really badly drunk at lans before world cyber games were best.

hOly: Tell me about it :).
strudles: They fucked up the comp, so by 12 I was down the pub with my clan Dr. About 7 hours later, many many whiskys down I returned and sat behind blokey as he played timber in final, very drunk. I vaguelly remember lakerman pushing past me and shouting in xenons face. Over the tdm final which unexpectedly ended at the 15 min mark :).

At another CPL qulifier (duel tourney) we went out drinking night before i remember leaving blokey in hotel foyer at 2am (that bastard still got up the next morning and won the comp) I went to a nightclub in London with some clan members, we got out at 7am, completly fucked, and I didn't even turn up to the duel competition the next day :P.

And there many many more i won't go into but... if we lose i will be found at the bar.

hOly: Do you think the quake3 scene is dying?
strudles: Hmm, it's natural for the scene to grow, reach a plateaux, then slowly die out. We are on the downward spiral, but it will be a slow thing.
I left q2 3 years ago, but it's still a great game, with many clans still playing every week and an active scene, the same for qw.
So, imo Q3 is still strong, just not as strong as it was, but it will remain around as a big game in Europe for years.

hOly: What would you do with the money if you win?
strudles: Pay the expenses. We have 7 people going, 3 nights booked in hotels, train tickets, so the prize money will just about cover that and leave some pocket money left over probably. Well.. first prize is a bit more.

hOly: And you will go for French bitches with the money that you have left, right? :)
strudles: Probaly blow it in London :). I don't beleive in the concept of saving money, or spendng it wisely.

Shoutout to dreg, if he could get the Russian mafia off his back :)
and sort out a passport Europe and America would be butt fucked by his crazy shaft :P.

Dreg unfortunelly can't go to Paris, which is a pity as his ffa shaft owns!
