Many memories come from our beloved LAN happenings. Perhaps you have a story to tell - be it funny, embarrassing or outright rage inducing. Perhaps you don't have any interesting accounts other than fond memories.

Well here's my story. Just good memories. I was lucky enough to have a best friend whose father was a network admin and he was (like all computer lab guys during the late 90s) very into doom and quake, eventually settling for CS as his main game. He had built a few computers for his kids and a few more just for himself (answering machine/ server) and he was delighted to have his sons friends over for pc game binges. There were many late nights and many more cans of mountain dew.

Of course, after CS was adopted by steam we went from playing our small lan games to just joining our favorite server. Best times were playing on the machine behind the old man listening to him stop himself from cussing up a storm to spare my ears. He never got that way unless his son killed him.
