as far as I know he's the guy in charge if you want LAN and not online servers.

if not, try conctacting nicerdicer or ins, I know they're behind some cups and have the ablity to spawn several servers etc

but all online. If they have interwebz issues the lan fails, and I'm not sure that ins can spawn LAN servers (not online).

just use the offline client/server.

yes it is unofficial, but if id software does not support LAN servers then we have to make them ourselves.
For clients it is easier than QL.com but seems it is complicated to upload servers.

i think this is not the way to handle situatuion like this.

so if syncerror does not upload lan servers (99% of the time) and they start lagging....the lan fails?

not all ql lans were played in lan servers. Actually most of them weren't on the first matches (yep I always check ping lol) until id software uploads them from server side, but I read somewhere that they finally gave those privileges to some people in the community.

lag when playing in online servers at lans happens every single time in all games, plus all the related problems (routing, number of players in the same ip, etc.) that wouldn't happen if they use what I posted.

if the closest server is 50ms away, i understand. however, this sounds like Europe, and the first step is still to contact id.

We have from 5 ms to 12 ms ping from the internet caffe to our local online server, so it's really ok, and there are different ips (25 computers), so we hope this will not be a problem.
What BloodRave asked is that someone could help us to spawn multiple premium servers :).
Of course we will be happy if we could actually play on lan servers at a lan event :)), but ~10 ms it's not bad either :P.

try to get "league admin" status from id for any of you, the improvement over regular pro is that you can spawn multiple servers + name them, contact syncerror (on irc) and explain
