fastest picture for tft is your default resolution = maximum resolution. we all had problems at first to adapt (from crt to tft) to high resolution and 16:9 16:10 but it will vanish after a while.

I use 1280x960, its better for me than the native.
ALso the r_aspectratio would not change after vid retsart

Put your monitor aspect ratio on 4:3.

Yes I have black lines going, im just saying if I have to take into account r_aspectratio value. I just cant move it from 0.

It's an informational read-only cvar, set by the engine based on your resolution (r_mode).

This way you can for example set HUD items depending on aspect ratio, testing only for that cvar. Otherwise it's used internally by the game and there's no use for it for a player.

Value of 0 means 4:3 resolution, so it's correct.

Why i can't set ratio 4:3 on my biggest resolution? If i change to smaller resultion and get 4:3 it will be all ok? One time i was hear that the best set is if you use the biggest resolution of screen and must be the same as desktop. Anyone can explain that? :P
