We talk with Russia VVD about playing and coding Quake from a Russian perspective. Some of the show is in Russian, but I translate everything. Also the format is shorter - trying to keep it to 30 mins.

There are some awkward pauses when English becomes too difficult for our guest, but I think it is worth it to get an interesting point of view from one of the older and more experienced Quakers - both in the game and in the code.

VVD is an old school quaker who has contrinbuted to KTX (quakeworld's official tournament mod, akin to OSP for quake3) and EZQuake (quakeworld's official modern client) and even MVDSV (quakeworld's official server software) is an all-around FreeBSD nerd, as well as a top notch player (although he won't admit it)

Follow and cheer VVD on in duelmania! And heed his final words, which I may not have translated 100% - play quake for fun every now and then, don't worry about quitting it!
