You can not do much with CM spawn mouse. Due to large pcb layout.
You can remove rubber at right side to get more grip rather than holding it very wide.
And change cable.

I've been holding off opening my Spawn, until I can get some replacement teflon feet.

Have you been able to get some new feet? Or have you just given up on the mouse and left it like it is on the pics? :)

My problem with this mouse is that its just too short.

After seeing how wide the PCB is, my dreams of swapping it into a MX5xx were killed off.
But now I'm thinking I could somehow try to make the Spawn longer.

Trying to think of what kind of material I could use to make the end (the end facing your arm) longer.
First I was thinking clay, but that obviously isn't gonna fly.

It has to be something that is easily molded. But also gets as hard as plastic. And is not too heavy, as that will offset that balance of the mouse too much.

I would probably also have to make this new added padding/whatever extend all the way down, so that it actually becomes an extension to the bottom of the mouse, where I'd have to add some extra teflon feet.

I like the sensor in this mouse. I like the buttons. I don't think its too wide.
But its way too short for my taste...

You can reuse those feet for a while with no problem.
But they are very sharp edges and catch everything on my pad so I use now IME3.0 feet with no problem what so ever.

I guess you can mod this one easily as I cant cut the side off its not modable for me but adding can be done easily.

I might attempt this with the Spawn.

I just need to find the lightest material possible. I want to avoid adding weight at all cost.

If u can, u better get the DA 3G pcb with red LED into the mx5xx shell if u like that shape.
Nobody seems to notice, but DA 3G with red LED is just PERFECT.

Whats so perfect about the DA 3G red LED?
Is the PCB different?
