Good luck finding an alienware IE3. If you can't find one (which I wouldn't be surprised if you couldn't) then just go get one from the store.

It's technically wired and therefore can be taken seriously. However it was made by Razer so it's build quality can't be taken seriously. ;p

I'm finding this out. The unit that I got has a broken contact for the battery and it needs to be sent back. Once I get that one I'll get to really play with it.

So whats the deal with the Mamba? Does it track well at low sens' like the DeathAdder?

I'll have to break it back out again and do some proper tests when I get a chance. It's decent though, I'll say that much.

That would be great. I'm trying to decide between the DeathAdder and the Mamba atm. I don't think anybody has done a real in depth comparison of the two at low sens'.

1ms latency isn't higher. It isn't masked either you ignoramus. And where did you read that it doesnt work on cloth? My friend has one in conjunction with a Razer Mantis Speed and has had zero problems with tracking issues.

And yes it doesnt work on cloth pad because the varying distance between the sensor and surface will cause 3 dimensional tracking, resulting unwanted movement... what most mamba users call JITTER

I'm sorry but its obvious you haven't even used the mouse on a cloth pad, let alone the mouse. I didn't 'buy the hype' - I USED THE MOUSE in both modes. I played on a Razer Mantis Speed and noticed no lag whatsoever in the wireless mode. Not sure what your point is caring whether it's effectively 1ms, because it's effectively the same as if it were wired which is effectively un-noticeable difference in latency between the two modes, and still effectively lag-free. Other's have used this mouse (DKT) and had the same experience.

You must be speaking for all mice with a generic logic about sensor distance. Jitter can be cause with a high dpi and slow mouse movement over cloth fibers, that's nothing new. It can also be easily averted with proper settings. There's plenty of information about that topic.
