the cmd was ALWAYS ch_crosshaircolor, in osp and in cpma, only in osp you can also use words instead of numbers (white,yellow,green etc.).

And no you don't have to read manuals, crosshair can be modified in the menu (you couldn't in osp).

it's about functionality; why let there options which don't work ?me as other guys are more used with console commands while lamerz like u use the in game menu maybe for their settings

in vq3 you have three options to set crosshair colour, from which only one work (the in game menu) which means vq3 sux
and if it is about flaming, hey, arQon, since first cpma you came with a lot of new versions, still if I watch osp demos through your mirifc new mods, you did not fix the score problem, 6 years later; is this not smth important to you ?so if I want to watch old osp demos (and they are a lot) i still have to use osp (not that osp bothers me, I don't use cpma in fact, but it should bother people which use this new mod and wanna watch old demos)

are you illiterate or what? cpma only interpretes the first (1st, the "f" out of first) sign you provide, and in your case it is "w" as you set crosshaircolor to "white". a list of avail colours is on the promode wiki where it obviously states everything a-y BUT NOWHERE DOES IT SAY WHITE OR YELLOW OR GREEN OK

But even though you are an idiot (or playing, same diff), some might find this useful:

Obsolete variables (such as cg_drawfps, cg_drawtimer etc) can still exist in your q3config.cfg but they have no effect.
In fact, quake 3 can generate ANY variable, no matter if it has an effect or not. Type seta this_cvar_does_not_exist 1 and quake 3 will make a client variable called this_cvar_does_not_exist with the value 1 and write it to your q3config.cfg.
If you want to see what variables DO exist, then backup your config, delete q3config.cfg (in both \cpma and \baseq3) and start up cpma. The new q3config.cfg that will be created in \cpma has all the variables with their default values.

point is if you download cmpa and start a map, the crosshair might have some colour you don't want; now if you did not use cpma console commands, you might have a surprise:
-if you try using numbers or words to change the colour, it's not working as it should work-for example if you type "ch_crosshaircolor red" the crosshair turns blue; you have to know the cryptic "ch_crosshaircolor y" in order to have white crosshair
so yes, cpma sux

By the way, why wouldn't you use ch_crosshaircolor 7? The standard white colour.

Go into your cpma folder ..
There is another little folder there called Docs..
Open that folder and read the txt file named Client.txt ..
It will tell you just about everything you need to know .

So basically, you keep trying the same thing even tho it doesnt work.
