This one I reckon.

I would go with the KAI.g3 because it is the newer iteration (gen 3). Probably best to get the Large version because their large pads are closer to most medium sized pads, a few inches smaller than the Puretrak on all sides. Soft and Hard have the same surface, only differ by inner material density. Both are equally as good its just a matter of preference.

Yea I have the Artisan G3(Red/Large/Hard).
Size wise its only 2.5mm shorter width wise compared to my Fnatic pad and about 3/4 the size in depth a about the same thinness but their is hardly any give with the G3 if I push down on the pad. .
Whats not to much of a problem because I only have to flick my fingers forward to look up.

Is anyone here who has used the fatpad and knows how it feels like? I know that the fnatic pad is faster though - I tried it. I also tried the Goliath thingy from razer - also too fast.

The everglide titan (pretty much the successor of the fatpad/dktpad) is one of the slowest cloth pads in the market. You might want to check the supermat if you can find one in europe (i think it's only easy to get in the us). It's a shame that the old dktpad isn't made anymore, it was awesome :c
But well, i think you should get a decently fast pad (artisan, puretrak talent ? icemat ?) and get used to it. Slow pads hold you back, you could get better :):)

Everglide Titans aren't made anymore either and I think Everglide went under. The Goliathus Speed is almost the same thing though but looks worse.

The Razer Mantis Speed which licensed the fibertek cloth weave from Everglide is the same exact pad, but they also aren't made anymore since Razer went ahead and designed their own weave when they phased out the Mantis with the Goliathus, but alas it is not as smooth as the fibertek imho.

The titan was much slower than the mantis even tho they're made with the same technology

You can buy directly from Everglide. Also, much more durable than a Goliathus.

I used to use a fat pad; and imo there is not another cloth mat out there that is as slow/has as much friction :(

Tried puretrak talent, everglide titan, large razer "slow" mat (cant remember what its called, that was a while ago), and now I use a qck heavy (which I got used to pretty quickly anyways).

However, the Fatal1ty mat is a rebranded supermat mouse mat (someone else already said it I think), and they are still around in some shops (although from what I could find, only in US stores). If your really keen you could wait for a few weeks to get a direct replacement :)

No I have not :( I remember this mat being released, and then forgetting about it until you reminded me about it :S

I have a mat which is similar to this (compressed fibres/water resistant/high friction);the Zowie G-RF.

It has a very high friction to begin with, and then it turns into a smooth glide after a certain amount of force. Strange, but useable. It did not feel as "linear" as the fatpad or qck heavy, which was why I did not mention it before. It doesnt feel like a cloth mat at times due to this.

It felt great for low sense (approx 60cm/360), as you had the very high friction for lg, and then it glided smoothly for 180 turns. Anything much lower than that just felt strange on this mat :S

It's texture felt almost of that of denim, and was rather rough.

Closest comparison I have to the NP+ I'm afraid :(

Have tried various (QPad CT, Icemat V2, Zowie etc) and have always ended up back with the Qck. I still suck regardless :(

I'm bored of buying mats that I won't use because they are somehow inferior to my old one, which isn't even a real mouse mat, and, well, it's hard to take seriously the suggestions of random people on random forums because I'm always wondering if the guys knows what he is talking about or if he is a sort of ShootMania player playing with a 12000 dpi wireless mouse anyway.

Isn't QcK heavy faster than Titan or G-RF? If so, why do you still prefer it?!

the allsop raindrop xl maybe, it's faster than a fatpad but not as fast as the qck (imo),

i found a retailer that was still selling the fatpad. i bought it again. fuck all that new crap.

And still manufactured. Simply awesome and the most durable cloth mat out there. I have an 8 (!) year old piece. Still usable.

I bought a new fatpad :P I found a retailer that was still selling them. I noticed that looks a bit different though because it has "fatal1ty" and the trademark sign added (which my old one did not). I have not played with it yet but It feels as good as the old one.
