Hi,

I recently installed CPMA and when I started playing, I encountered some questions and problems:

1- Is there a random map rotation in CPMA? like the one in UI Enhanced that I can choose like 10 maps for my 1v1 LAN games and start playing them?

2- Why instead of showing my avatar, it show's Mynx's at bottom of the screen?! How can I fix it to show my avatar/model's own head instead?

3- Why whenever I use practice mode, it says "Waiting for Players" ? I want to play with bots like normal Q3A single player game (I know that I can do the same with skirmish mode but thats not the point since single player mode is different with set bots and set frags)

1. Not random (as far as I know) but you can have a rotation, more info in docs\Maplists.txt

2. You need to edit/change the HUD file: http://www.promode.org/wiki/index.php/Custom_HUDs

3. Not possible to play single player in CPMA, at least not as far as I know, could try fucking with g_gametype to see if that would help (I think 2 is SP mode) but I think that's been entirely replaced by strings in CPMA.

Regarding number 3:

If you go to 'practice' then select a map and mode, you can play with bots. Have you tried that?

yeah, this. You can also select the difficulty from 1-100. 6 and up being CPMA bots, which are a bit harder than the regular bots. I started by playing level 10 bots and am now playing lvl 70-80 but 100 still beats me.

Agreed. Don't go crazy with bot level, I find around bot 80+ the rockets are just complete aimbots. It's ridiculous how exact it knows where you're moving, and where you're going to be at what time in the air.

Start at ten =)

Yeah, it gets outright retarded in my opinion once you go over 80. That's where I started learning the importance of spawn rape, was when they never fkn miss.

Over 100 bots were just faster and in some cases less challenging.

Are bots still in development? They used to be much better in terms of balance. Especially hitscan acc is ridiculous now at higher levels and their item timing suffered.

No I don't think so, unless qrealka decides to change something. The hitscan absurdity is because of Russian players asking for stronger bots and I think they predictively abuse their wallhack, which is why they do the ridiculous rockets into your feet when you try dropping past angles for shots on them.

maybe you can make a pseudo random rotation by making a long maplist with random maps in it (same maps over and over again)

Ok,
some other questions:

1- while in NTF mode, everyone's model (avatar) is same as an Q3A original model with white color but when they die, it suddenly shows proper model, how can I fix this?

2- I got another exe called Challenge Quake 3 exe since I read that it works better with CPMA but that won't run and says something about OpenGL, is that a known problem?

regarding 1:

Dunno what you mean by proper model, but in NTF each class has it's own specific model.

Tank=Keel
Soldier=sarge (iirc)
Scout=Anarki
Sniper=razor (iirc)

and so on ... damn, haven't played in a long time. :<

3-and about bots in Practice mode, it lets me play with a bot and I can choose its difficulty level but in the game it won't count the score and keeps saying that "Waiting for players".

4- In hooneyMoon mode, is there a keybind that does the Spawn and Ready? or should I type them myself or there is a default key bind? ( I know that I can bind it myself but I'm sure there is a default for it)

5- why it shows Mynx's avatar instead of my own character's head on the HUD?
