May 16:
I’m writing this as the 16th because its past midnight! Shortly after midnight we left the hotel in search of a bar. First, we took a left and got totally swarmed with invitations to bars and clubs and all this garbage. The left was not a good route to take. Switching to the right way, we found this “Diamante Bar”. They had great Mexican music and a transvestite – what more could we ask for? (lol). In this bar we met a woman named ‘India’. She was working there and just started chatting to us. Its very difficult to describe India. She was kind, friendly, outgoing – just sooo hospitable but those words don’t even begin to accurately describe her. She gave us her numbers and told us to call her if we were ever in trouble. She especially warned us about the police. We ended up staying there most of the night. A lot of funny stuff happened though.

India:

Picture this: a small Mexican bar with disco lights and about 5 customers. We were being checked out from all sides bar the transvestite and his/her partner. One guy at the bar told the bartender that we could drink anything we wanted and he would pay.

We stayed at this bar until 2:30 am, waiting for India to get off work. Before that we went back to the hotel to pick up our cat woman glasses. One of the guys from the bar followed us. I really told him off but he didn’t seem to get the point (or understand English for that matter). We went back to the bar, stalker and all and informed India of the situation. She suggested we “pretend” we were leaving and said goodbye to us but really we were taking a short walk down the road. While on that walk, we came across a strip bar and the bouncers outside told us we could have a free margarita inside. Laughing we went in and got the free margaritas, then went back to meet India.

Unfortunately she couldn’t come hang out though but promised to take us shopping for a piñata tomorrow. We went to the bar across the street after that and again were offered free drinks. People there thought we were movie stars! Hahaha. By the time we got to bed it was around 5am and we got up around 11. India met us where we were having breakfast – Mexican food is soooo yum! After breakfast, India too us to get a piñata! She pulled her boyfriend out of work to drive us! Then she let us get the rental car and drive it to her house where it was safer to park. She was really surprised that no one had stolen our car.

We saw her house and it was just a small 1 bedroom place that stunk of gas. After that, she said she had a surprise for us and took us to the beach! We had some nice coconut drinks that were hand carved at a little stand.

It was quite chilly at the beach, and my favourite attraction there was the rusty, falling down boarder to San Diego. It was starting to get late so after the beach we started our drive back to Beverly Hills. The navigating wasn’t so bad and we were able to reach the hotel by 10pm, ready for E3.
