Its scraps from here on in, in a game which will become much harder to win at, as the thing becomes more balanced.

If they've been relying on anarki and sorlag, I would not be so sure.
Even a small nerf for either could make find them losing the games they were once winning.

Its stupid he did not play, he could have made quakecon top 16 if he trained from the start, and with his PK background and IMO two of the current top two characters in duel being (Sorlag/Anarki) would have been a big advantage for him.

Still trying to figure out why everyone has such a plethora of hatred towards the person who carved out competitive gaming as a whole. Is everyone salty that they didn't get to achieve what it is he has done?

I'm personally not salty. So its not everyone.

I think the problem with fat is some players regard some of his gaming "world championship" achievements as a little over engineered, but IMO he proved himself in Painkiller and Quake 4. And before then, Quake 3 (at the start). And you do stuff like that when selling yourself to the outside world.

I think a lot of players wanted to see him come back for quake champs, and there wasn't really an excuse not to.

He had essentially retired from high end competitive play by 30.
Vo0 was at the PK finals with him in 2005 and just made the finals in Quakecon 2017 with a wife and kid and in his 30's.

Killsen is pushing 31, wife and kid and possibly the best QC duel player in the world at the moment. Though I feel the dominance of anarki and sorlag players are on borrowed time.

I was just generally speaking because it seems like the majority of people on here at least 80% are just pissed at him.

Should he have come back? Probably.

Did he need to? Not at all.

Some people lose the competitive spark and have automatically relegated themselves to just playing for fun.

So in the end it's just a general progression of what people want to do with their lives.

That would be fine if he was no longer in the business, but he still is.
Lets not forget, he's not competed at a high level since in his late 20's.

Even if he burned out, that's plenty of time to recharge and come back.

you don't play games competitively and lose that IMO, especially if you've not gamed at a high level for so long.

i think its is just the usually mentality of that time, aka. when people sold out. But in this age and time we now know, you have to make a business out of yourself, so you can live like yourself.

Basicly he sold his persona/name like you fucks are now seeing it done on twitch. He just did it 15 years ago, before none of you knew what media influence is.

... thank god fatality knew what he was doing (somewhat), so he can now live life the way he wants it.

I wanna see him beat clawz.

When I watch Fatal1ty play Quake etc i like him. When I watch him play Borringrounds I simply can't believe how bad he is in that game and his personality he is know for also comes out that sort of reminds you "ah yes that's why probably people didn't like him much in the old days". I mean first of all it's sad how pro players like Cooller and Fatality barely get any views on their channels, lets get that out of the way. On the other hand yes they are playing, they are not there to entertain you. All pro's are like that. Here is where it gets interesting. Fatal1ty every game I watch comes out with 2-3 at best 8 kills. 90% of the time he spends camping in the grass or doing some bullshit made up calculated move that makes you think "Dude, you are fucking pro, you are in a public game with noobs. Get up, go out there and use your aim skills to wipe them out" And then of course he dies out of no where 2 single silent shots he doesn't know where it came from, or just some random guy walked in casually "who the fuck is this snake in the grass?". And then of course there is fatal1ty during these 2 player or 5 player co-op or whatever it's called. "Let's keep the chat to a minimum and only call the locations" His team mate dies getting rekt from different locations "call it out, call it out....oh man you why didn't you say this, why didn't you do that, what color was the sky when it happened, was the wind at 89 or 90db when they shot you, how tall was the grass really, I want to know the logo of their jumper they were wearing and if you can't answer this simple question you are out of the team" Jesus fucking H. Christ! And of course there is always the PROTECT THE FATAL1TY! he is more important than anyone else on the team. So here comes the champion running up the hill and he meet the worst players in the game and boom, insta dead. Silence in TeamSpeak..... I'm telling you I'm finally starting to get what people mean about FAT, he has this personality that it's ok. he is cool, don't take him too serious, but man can he get on your nerves. The cherry on top is after all that when he personally himself doesn't deliver. It's very strange because he is a completely different animal when he plays Quake: Overwatch "We are champions". By the way I don't think I've ever seen Fatal1ty as last man standing in these battle royale games.

Now I know I kinda bashed him a little bit I figured let's see somebody else in this shit hole game, so I tune in to Cooller. OMG very similar bad play. He doesn't camp as much and it looks like he just installed Borringrounds, Like me I sense Cooller doesn't like these shitty games with iron sights, because 90% of the time...hahahaha....90% of the time he plays the game with uzi because he probably figured it's the most accurate and easy to use hip fire weapon or something. His aim with that thing is impressive and puts a smile on my face every time he drops someone. Nobody ever plays with Uzi in this game!!!! Of course here we go again, same camping tactics, same terrible awareness, same hide in the house without looking so naturally they end up sneaking on him and he has some "proven" strategy where he smokes the stair case of every house.....and then he dies. By the way the best part was when he was playing 2's they got pinned in this house and his team mate was down, he threw 2 fucking smokes 1st and 2nd floor, picked up his team mate and decided to throw a 3rd one (why I don't fucking no) turns out it wasn't a smoke but a regular grenade so they both died xD

I know what you think, this game must be hard or something. It's not them! Yet you watch pro CS player Shroud and he is absolutely destroying these punks. Godly aim, super calm, kills people 1km away, great positioning, multiple enemy take down. 20 kills easy, most of them are a win. Same goes for all these other players Grimmz, Break, Smack, Anthony, Viss.... whether they are just going for kills and winning or just taking the longer scenic route with light camping and winning. I don't get it, how can my favourite players be so bad :D Dem Quake skills should be transferable right?

Wind rarely whines. But when he dies it is nearly ALWAYS because 'wow, my opponent is super high level to kill me!' or 'wow, a one in a million shot11@12!!!'

he makes indirect excuses to stroke his own ego so he can continue to believe that he's amazing

For the streaming issues, people watch streamers mostly for their personality not necessary for the game they play. If you have no personality or don't interact with your viewers a lot, you ain't going to have viewers, except if you have a pair of tits and shirts that barely fit.

In my opinion, the few Quakers I've watched are not really interesting personalities, except for 2GD, he gets the whole streaming thing, most others don't.

Regarding the battleground chirps, the game is rather easy.

I have less than 100 hours on the game and often solo play and get 10+ kills.

The game is pretty bugged anyways and I've never played a battle royale style game before other than this.

So from skill transfer point of view it's not really a debatable thing to add in from whatever game they've come from.

You forget Shroud and all the other players you've just mentioned come from Arma and H1Z1.
Prime example to add Summit1g - The guy is an absolute beast and imho is far better than Shroud and he's an ex pro cs:go player.

From a gaming perspective, your personality is MASSIVE, if you're entertaining and engaging to watch, no matter what game you play, people will watch. Prime example of that Sodapopping, guy is hilarious as fuck.

People don't watch Rapha stream for his entertainment, he gives us play by play analysis, that's why a lot of people watch him.

People don't watch Tox for his gripping conversational skills, they want to see the 777777777777777777777777777777777777777777777777777777777777777 lg and godly slash movement etc.

Getting back to fatality, his attitude is what people like, some don't and some do. I like the fact that he still is a cocky bitch, It's fun to watch.

So I guess he in a nutshell has rubbed a lot of the community the wrong way but some people will always love him.

Yet you watch pro CS player Shroud and he is absolutely destroying these punks.

Who would have thought that one of the best players at a game with slow, crouch-based movement, a speed-based accuracy model, low TTK and 20-something basically identical variations of hitscan weapons with spread and recoil would do better at a game which shares all those exact same mechanics than one of the best players at a game with fast sophisticated movement, 100% accuracy on all guns, high TTK and a broad arsenal of projectile and hitscan weapons? Really makes you think.

If PUBG was a q3 mod with the q3 weapons and movement, things would probably look a bit different.

Also DraQu of reflex fame is pretty good at PUBG, though I never watched someone else play the game. Great streamer too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrq3k-vhM9

There should be a Fatality Quake Champions Champion and the passive ability is that he can shoot through walls like the original Quake 3 as that was always his favourite trick and the active ability is that the real Fatality plays for you and for every frag he makes for you Tim Willets visits on his stream and presents him with a Quake Champions World Championship Trophy for his motivations.
