How hard is it to find matches in Reflex?

if you're playing doubles (2v2 TDM) with a teamm8@party, it actually can take a while.

but at mm duel you find a match in about 2min or something, max.

I'm not Heartless but I found it very very easy to find games, the matchmaking system isn't perfect but it works.

It's the smoothest game I've ever played and is a lot of fun to play.

I concur. I only played a few games with bots so far to test it out, but the game feels really smooth. I really like the engine. Movement is very intuitive. I lowered the graphics to Low instantly to improve visibility. The bright skins are not so well visible compared to QL but I can accept it if map is not too flashy.

Weapon balance feel weird. I don't see points when I could use shotgun instead of rocket. It feels weak. The only map I played felt too compact (focal/focus? I don't remember the name). It's common thing in CPM style maps, but I hope there are some more bigger maps that are being played.

I gonna try MM soon for sure.

If you want increased visibility, be sure to enable lightmap

You mean, clear lightmap? r_lm_clear? Also, there's a widget available that clears the lm upon map load. Might be on workshop. If not, check the forums.

I played a few CA games on Campgrounds and Asylum yesterday. It feels the same as QL/Q3 but a little bit CPMished. The most noticeable difference for me was sound. I kind of feel overwhelmed by the amount of high volume sounds of different things. I think Quake was more balanced in this terms. I mean the more important sounds were easier to follow. Here it makes an environment quite chaotic. Maybe I just need to get used to it or tweak some cvars, but this was my impression. Really fun to play despite of that.

I think these sounds were put together just for the sake of it and they never got updated :@
