agreed, ETQW was one of the first games I got on xbox, and it was actually epic. Then lent it to a friend who moved away :(

Skyrim and Starcraft 2 come to mind, which I own but never bothered to get into (yet). Also Age of Empires which everyone says they have super fond memories of. I just found Warcraft / Red alert / Sid Meier Civ / AC universes more appealing.

I wish i played more quake, first time i saw quake 3 arena when i was 7 years old, and i fuckin loved it! Back then all of my friends were playing cs1.5 so i started playing that and completely forgot about quake, thank god (or not) i found out about ql late 2012

RTCW I played the demo but I was such a fanboy of Quake deathmatch that I couldn't see how great a game it really was. In retrospective it's much more like quake than most other games.

Second that. Should have gotten one of those head tracking systems though, as I always felt my awareness was limited because of using the joystick's hat switch to look around.

Ultimate soccer manager 98 being the clear top of that list, and Alpha Centauri being a decent 2nd.... Perhaps X-beyond the frontier finishing off the top3.

All 3 were good games at the time imho... But the time spent on those by me is just well above and beyond what is sane.
Similar story with FF7 btw, but I had a huge break in there because Q3 was released :D

X-BtF is so time consuming. Actually finished it, if you can call it that. Basically you could spend 10 years playing that game ez.

Dunno why but for some reason those management/tycoon kinda games just get so addictive.

WoW, quit after they reset characters after beta,
I somewhat liked playing in a guild, etc., WoW was a more social game, unlike chess, hearthstone, quake where you mostly only play for yourself, if you are not a guy playing everyday 3hours plus ... but yeah, WoW is probably still too timeconsuming and probably too real-life damaging and after all it has too much of these grind, levelup elements, it is only appealing to your collector/game reputation instinct but doesnt deliver much in the skills department

WoW classic was a great game for chilling and having casual lulz with guildmates, and character progression / the world itself were interesting and challenging.

I stopped playing around WotLK when they introduced Achievements and started aggressively dumbing down the game until arriving at the absolute clusterfuck that it is today.
