The prices for flights in North America, and obviously to Europe, are fucking ridiculous. Go the fuck to Dreamhack Winter. Is the sleeping hall ok? Any pictures?

it's a giant empty warehouse that smells like shit after the first day with cement floor, so bring a sleeping bag, also you have to pay for it.

I used the sleeping hall on the last night last year (it is included with the regular dh ticket) and I have to say it was alright. I arrived around 2 am from the city, just went in lay down on my bag and covered myself with my jacket.

-I am more of a camping dude so I dont really care much for comfort
-many people already left since it was the last night

anyway it was very warm which was quite cosy coming from the outside and those still awake were trying to behave quiet. I had a nice chat with a British couple who stayed next to me and went to bed. the floor was clean and also warm. I didn't smell anything it seemed to have proper ventilation. the next morning around 8 they woke us up with sirens which was annoying but hey they wanted to have us out.

overall: if you aren't a sissi the sleeping hall definitely does his job. From what I've heard the first two days it might smell sewaty since it's quite a lot of people in one room.

Right now it's really late to start booking hotels as most are fully booked already.

I reserved rooms in pretty much all hotels in Jönköping, just in case, the cheapest being a 4-person room for 200€/night (50€ per person) in the "Quality Hotel Jönköping". There are still many people without rooms so you could surely fill the room if you are interested.

There is also a two person room left in the "A6 Hotell & Vandrarhem" for 96€/night (48€ per person) bookable at hotel.info - which is as cheap as it gets for hotels in sweden.

Slept in the sleeping hall once and it was alright. I had a solid 1 hour sleep the night before tho so i probably would have slept anywhere. It's relatively quiet and dark and that's about it. It obviously is nothing if you want a comforable stay - no place to shower, no breakfast, have to drag all your stuff with you at all times etc... I heared some quakers are gonna sleep there though, so you wouldn't be alone ;-)

It's actually a pretty good way of getting the costs down if you're a couple of people who can share the rent. I live 2 hours from DH so I'll probably just drive over to see the finals - i think. Not sure if it's worth it really. I sort of enjoy watching sports/esports from home. It's easier to focus, there's beer at home and there won't be any random assholes interrupting me in any way. That's what I do when there's a really good football game or bike race coming up.

Friend of mine rented out his apartment for €800 for a week in central Gothenburg through airbnb. After two nights the guests had cancelled the booking and they (she) returned the keys. Probably some sort of escort thing going on.

Imo just go from Riga (Latvia) by plane to Stockholm. Its 50 euros afaik. And then i have to decide on what to do IF i would be going.
