those were the best CA'ers playing today, while the duel team was hardly allstar.

Well Ze dem0n is a pretty good dueler and CA player, and zsx is pretty good at both too, but as a Brit you'd expect nothing less... The teams with even bigger duelers were nowhere to be seen really. Although I think colwn would have done pretty well with H41 today, if he had turned up...

An allstar duel team would've been crushed way more. At least dem0n and zsx have some idea about CA, so they actually stood a chance.

I guess u base ur opinion on killsens elo, strenx lg and tox overall skillset. And if they play like ca should be playd they would be really good, but not better then those u just saw playin. Jwzrs lg is ca-wise easily as good as strenxs, and tox doesnt possess any skill that phyo doesnt hold himself (in Ca). But ur right killsens elo is the highest.... well done.

I guess K1llsen, Tox and Strenx are more than welcome to sign up, they actually should have done since the 3on3 format suit them very well. But since they didn't sign up for this purpose build tourney, I doubt they will ever sign up in a normal 4on4 ca map pool tournament.

*) Why don't you show and talk about the brackets before the games start?
(This goes _especially_ for the Sunday cups. Not saying you should spend half an hour on it; but you could at least _show_ them from time to time, maybe mention a few interesting results.)
*) Why don't you talk about the teams and their way to the final?
*) Why don't you talk more about the players in the teams?

Instead you went: "Sorry there's a delay: here's another 15 minutes of ads."
(Which we've already seen a million times before btw.)

*) Why do you always ignore the final score board?

One of the most effective ways to promote the game and make people engaged and interested is to get them to know the players more.
(This is 2013 and we're on the internet; even my grandmother has Skype installed.) The audience wants it, the players want it, it builds interest, it's win win all around.

Sorry for being too critical, I've watched every Faceit show since the beginning; it's not as if I'm not a fan. ;)

A short summary of this:

The level of the games and players was amazingly high. Be it duel/tdm/ca players or what they were considered as all had huge aim and it was indeed the teamwork that decided who won a map - just look how easily faces was dispatched on Trinity - they just stood on the corners of the meet area and got 1v2'd too easily.

3v3
is not ideal in my opinion. Even with great teamplay, one move can put you into a 1v2 situation while the other 2 players from your team aren't able to destroy the 3rd enemy player fast + move back to help. It seemingly became random. With 4v4 it's easier to split up in 2/2 without getting into trouble all too fast.

The audience
unfortunately the insults and whine from inactive players and barely competitive duelers was hardly bearable in twitch chat. My guess is they had bad experiences on pub games while being brainwashed into the duel-only mindset. At least the cheat accusations were minimal.

Funny that the only insults *towards the actual players* were almost entirely from other CA players.

actually this was quite i nice tournament to watch. lowfly impressed me the most tbh, before the semifinal i wouldnt even bet a cent seeing them do good. they proofed me wrong, sorry for the shittalk and wp :D

colwn could have done good too with h41 and l1nkin playing, sad that this wasnt possible.

and i think v1um is right, in 4v4 its way more hard to play the +back style some teams played . creating 2v1 situations isnt really possbile in 4v4, because the round will snowball out of your hands in 90% of the games. thats why 4v4 is one of the main modes in ca - its less random.

i hope some of those duel/tdm players will keep playing ca, mb houseofquake could be more entertaining now or faceit will organize more cups like this.

i was just getting insane when my mouse stopped 3 2 1.... my mouse didnt move shoot nothing... idc about if its round example like 1-1 4-5 but at matchpoint 9-9 the situation is critucal still pissed why we didnt do that round over, after that i totally cba the game no more focus was just raging whole game,,, if that round was a re it was a different story... and ins told me he saw i had problem but he didnt do or say anything... my apoligze for exploding but u have to understand my point

enjoyed the drama way more than the tournament itself. ca just doesn't spark the same enthusiasm in me as my favourites tdm and duel. it was quite nice to watch when i was just getting into the competitive quake scene (which i suspect is the point of ca being played at quakecon and analogically in this tournament series), but it doesn't tickle my fancy anymore. like... at all.
