LoL as an eSport only exists within the LoL community. Which is HUGE.

But really, outside that community, LoL as an eSport is nothing.

I'm not interested, however due to my Twitter being flooded about this I might end up having a look.

because LoL is the most played PC game right now. they have a good business model and its actually free to play.

but yeah snap is right. LoL gets ridiculous numbers because of its ridiculous population, and riot puts a big ass splash page for any big LoL LAN event in the client. so everyone who logs in to LoL sees it. i remember before riot did that, LoL was getting 10k to 20k viewers. which was still good. after they implemented the splash image system, they were breaking 100k every LAN.
