ah yes, the mythical Firefox memory leak that i never had

been using Firefox since 1.0 and i have the same profile since 2.0 (well.. it's like Ship of Theseus by now)

my best advice: don't use the default tab manager, use one that flushes memory in a more dynamic manner.

i use Tab Mix Plus: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tab-mix-plus/ , besides the advantage i pointed out earlier it also has an insane amount of customizations to tab usage and behavior (i hate those faggots that still click on the New Tab button each time they want to create a new tab, instead of autocreate on entering a new URL in the address bar)

it's the plugincontainer.exe man! that thing is cancer. google how to disable it and you'll be fine.

I've had the same problem for years. Closing Firefox via task manager 5-10 times a day. The problem is that firefox does not close itself properly.

It's really annoying, but I've gotten use to it over the years because there is no alternitive. IE is shit, Chrome is shit ... everything is shit, including Firefox itself.

This is terrible and getting on my nerves.

The last good version of FF was 2.x(.x). After that it started getting as bloated as Adobe software.
