the worlds greatest and fully packed, clean optimized modern php portal/CMS and so on, to use to start your own site, 99% a new code base from all other nukes and a whole new world of security

after you install it, you have have http://nullnuke.netai.net/ with a empty database

if you have windows and cant be assed messing around, you can use http://www.uniformserver.com/ to run it on your local desktop

phpNuke is hardly greatest or clean and optimized :D

it's rather bad. new joomla and drupal are the way to go

edit: anyway, i suggest to anyone trying to use cms to set up their site - don't, because it's too easy to make your own templating system (requires minimal knowledge of php&mysql) and it pays out with interest rates. why i dislike these cmsystems is because basically in order to template them you have to spend additional extra time just to learn how their templating system works, etc, which is neither time efficient or consuming.

null nuke you can do quite alot with a theme with just changing the .css files

most blocks are wrapped in 2 function, you can add image to the tables that wrap the functions input( $content )

wrappers are all at the top of the theme.php

i know php nuke is shit. use null nuke it is clean and stable and power with no extra junk a modern site doesnt need

dont need phpbb and some dodgy mods to make it a CMS, dont need the original php nuke that known for all of its exploits over the years, dont need all nukes based on the original php nuke

there is just null nuke

yeah, a few years ago, nobody brags about drupal and wordpress anymore, they were rubbish before i released null nuke

download v2.2 http://www.mediafire.com/download/j5l7ok7ps05...E_v2.2.zip

i might release another that has a html5 wsyiwyg editor everywhere

i can`t remember if 2.2 if fully mobile/desktop browser compatible, having to have no subdomains or any other coding, besides what needed in the theme files

if you want to add a wysiwyg editor, your best off using http://www.wysibb.com/

general code would be like

  • this code
<php

<script>
$(document).ready(function() {
var wbbOpt = {

//use null nuke user level bbcode tag array to build custom
button array

buttons: "bold,italic,underline,|,img,link,|,code,myquote",
allButtons: {
code: {
}
},
myquote: {
title: 'Insert myquote',
buttonText: 'myquote',
transform: {
'<div class="myquote">{SELTEXT}</div>':'[myquote]{SELTEXT}[/myquote]'
}
}
}
}
$("#editor").wysibb(wbbOpt);
});
</script>

<script>
$(document).ready(function() {
$("#editor").wysibb()
})
</script>

<textarea id="editor" name="editor_name">

there is no real way to make it 100% "secure", if a user uses a proxy to add buttons, they won`t work server side

dont need original php nuke. dont need phpbb and dodgy mods to make phpbb into a CMS. dont need any other php nuke still using original php nuke code with a few changes

most other CMS and portals that are not "nuke" and know what you getting with a "nuke", are all gurlie and gay and you can have a proper big community site on them because that are gurlie and gay and most users just get pissed off with them all

if you use a nuke, you know what you are getting and so does everyone else

every site on the internet that has customizable side blocks and content in the middle, can be based on a nuke CMS and a few custom modules

if you overwrite null nuke 1.2 files with this theme, you wont be able to use the existing themes in null nuke download

images on in sideblock and floatblock css classes

sideblock is for sideblocks

the floatblock theme function are center blocks etc and top info blocks with function in the theme function.php

side and float block class are the same, float doesnt have a fixed width

null just needs a blog module to compensate for columns or journals and rants

authorize forum attachments and article scores

rating needs to be fixed anyway, with ratio column in db for orderby sql queries

i have changed the sourceforge project name from NULL-8X3-NUKE to NULL NUKE, you dont have to tremble with fear if you are going to use it, and changed the description to a nerdy

powerfull and secure and cross platform file system, full featured CMS or portal using php 5+, will run on any server on windows and linux with php safe mode enable or disabled, with a flexible theme system and scalable for large community sites

when I browse http://nullnuke.netai.net/index.php

I can see the site adjusting the width of the frames very slowly, but it's only at the first time (or if I clean cache). The "search" box, the "login" and the "latest referers" are slowly (in 3-4 steps) resizing the right sides of the other frames.

Is that normal?

yup, its only a theme, you can clean up youself when you make 1 to have a custom site, it only happen on non IE browsers.. mozilla sucks and dedicated to code, and everything has to be perfect

its just missing table cellpadding/spacing and wont do it if you download the ESR theme for null, as css files are 90% empty

better off getting patch 1 off sourceforge and just putting the ESR null theme in the themes folder and delete all other php files that are not in the ESR theme folder

if you download null nuke 1.2 + patch 1 off of sourceforge from https://sourceforge.net/projects/nullnuke/files/version%201.2/

to make null look like ESR like in the picture above.. you will just need to download the standalone ESR theme from http://nullnuke.netai.net/NULL_NUKE_ESR_THEME_patch_1.zip and select the ESR theme in administration/main config or your user account configuration

creating the future, all other portals etc are shit and pathetic, and worthless in the long run and cannot be used for large scale community sites with ease and flexibility, that are fully themeable, nor usable with ease, they all run on nasty dirty code that is a junk yard scattered around every file and unorganized,

null nuke is the top of the "powerful" portals on sourceforge search and is the only portal that really is "powerful" and so on

if you use null nuke, you can update the code for 20years or more with ease, most of it is in 1 file and called throughout all modules

all other portals are all the internet is so wonderful who dont get large community sites..

null nuke is scratch your ass and eat iced buns gamers and shoutcast who have 100k users and wannabe h4x0rz pissing around with our site

doubt it, people hit google and search for null nuke or whatever, they find all my posts and cry

ESR can convert databases and use null nuke, if you finish the theme and make a blog.. the index.php would just need to be redone if you want galleries/blog [columns or journals]/articales and polls,. all tables have the same basic info to display, would just need to merge arrays or whatever

most users would cry if they did, and everyone would have 500kb for forum attachment quotas and 8 pm inbox/sent box quotas

and its opensource, with nothing much to improove and expected to be full of exploits and sql injections, which people will be doing they`re best to find if null nuke gets found by the world, the only thing it has in common with phpnuke, is the nuke in the name, no code or way of functioning and administration privileges setup or anything

if you code anything it :

$result = dbquery( "select uid from ".$xttables['users']."" ); //no longer need , add to stop error messing up table cells, will send admin pm or email when db query error happens

echo getname( $uid ); // will print the user name from uid, or array( ''username. 'user access level' ) to save 100 extra db queries per page

echo maketime( time(), true, format ) // true = plain text, format is 0-^ of

$tarray[] = "H:i:s d/M/y";
$tarray[] = "D d M Y - H:i:s";
$tarray[] = "F d Y/H:i:s a";
$tarray[] = "d F Y/H:i:s a";
$tarray[] = "F d Y";
$tarray[] = "d F Y";
$tarray[] = "d/m/Y";
$tarray[] = "H:i:s F d, Y";
$tarray[] = "d M, Y - H:i:s";
$tarray[] = "D d/M/y H:i:sa";
$tarray[] = "d/M/y D H:i:sa";
$tarray[] = "d/M/y D H:i:s a";
$tarray[] = "M/y";

$tarray[] = "d/M/y a";
$tarray[] = "d/M/y a H:i:s";
$tarray[] = "D d M Y";
$tarray[] = "H:i:s";

or custom format if not numeric value...

datetime($in_val) // will make database datetime column value from time(), only article archive uses datetime, everything else uses time()

and so on in core/core_Get_Functions.php, all the functions can be called anywhere on custom pages, along with functions in core_Get_Functions_file.php

not in null nuke

http://nullnuke.netai.net/forum.php?op=forum
http://nullnuke.netai.net/forum.php?op=for%20um

cookie data is ciphered then stored in the cookie as base64, you can decode the cookie locally, but you will just get the ciphered string, which gets de-ciphered when sent to the site using a site passkey set in the backend configuration

the rest of null doesnt use user access levels, they are just for name colors. all security and such uses defines, you cant use remote post form etc and try and change

most $vars get unset() when they have been used, remove 1000 bytes and db queries and post array... from server ram per page per user in nearly every function

took long enough pissing around, to make the cipher work with any string length, image upload paths are protected too and sent to showimage.php..

stole a bit of code of some random forum post in a search. now you can download 2gb files + with the path hidden

if you open up ./config.php and add you config files to the array, if 1 of them are missing or currupt, the site will be automatically shutdown to the public, and only super admins can log in, when fixed site will open backup automatically

or you can shut it down to maintenance manually in main configuration

nope, you can code new pages and modules to customize your site if you use null nuke as the portal,CMS, "framework"

if you just download it, and upload it to a domain or run it on a local http server.. null nuke as standalone will do plenty of any type of site you want as it is, it just needs more themes and new forum buttons and icons

you dont have to piss around with anything if you just want a site that works, and as it all, with no extra junk you dont need

its the phuture and what everyone will just download, and beef up and witness the power when all others are shit for any type of site you want to run

and a code base and security like no other

doom3world looking like http://www.doom3world.org/index.php

or http://nullnuke.netai.net/NULL_OEM.png with plenty of more features and options, can just go into block administration and set index news to be listed instead of detail view

what is what... a portal/content manager you upload to your domain, create the database and setup up in the ./dbconfig/dbconfig.php and use for your site

null nuke is the next gen, for any kind of site you want to run

install http://www.uniformserver.com/ on your windows desktop, and start the apache and mysql services, open your browser and http://localhost/ then you can make a theme or setup the blocks etc, then upload it to your domain with your database dump

you wont get the file system or functionality and clean codebase and flexibility and so on thats in null nuke without paying $1000+

my forum in null nuke is already better then phpbb and invision, the rest of null destroys dodgy mods to make them standalone forums into a portal or cms, the rest of null destroy all othe rportals and cMS too

dodgy phpbb mods will make your site look like doom3world

null nuke has corporate power and can run proper sites

I just spent 20 minutes looking at your "source code," and I have a question: were you commissioned to write the most awful, random, insane, buggy, incomplete, insecure application in the history of mankind?

it seriously deserves an award. bravo. I should not have to tell you that in my short skimming I have discovered probably three dozen severe vulnerabilities, most of them incredibly basic in scope and difficulty. at least you managed to block your /dbconfig/ PHP files with some kind of defined() check, but the published source does not do this, so anyone using this "software" would immediately have their website taken over.

you would have yours taken over by now if I weren't so nice, but I'm not sure you'll be missing your free hosting project. I suspect that's your intent in the first place. in the name of disclosure, though, I'll direct you to the second most hilarious (but foremost relevant) bit yet:

function is_admin() {

global $xttables;

if (defined( "COOKIE_IS_ANON" )) {

return (bool)FALSE;
}

if (defined( "COOKIE_IS_ADMIN" )) {

$admintmp = cookiedecode();

$sql = dbquery("select ( aid = '$admintmp[0]' ) from " . $xttables['authors'] . " where pwd = '$admintmp[2]' limit 1");

if ( ! empty( $admintmp ) && mysql_fetch_row( $sql ) ) {

unset( $admintmp, $sql );

return (bool)TRUE;

} else {

cleancookie();

}

unset( $admintmp, $sql );
}

return (bool)FALSE;

} // End Function

that is absolutely marvelous.

there is no other portal for everyone and the 1000s to download and give them what they are looking for in 60 secs, all other portals are gurlie and gay and themes are all shit, you can tell what portal a site is running on by the feel of nasty code and style of theme

null nuke does all that and everything backend serverside, and can do 99.99% of things in the theme files alone, theres a few button.gif that need fixing in some other files, but those are fixed if i upload another, null nuke can do proper themes

not exactly vulnerable

function is only used in ./core/core_Get_Functions_Secure_Root.php as a secondary check to check if admin cookie is set during the void on page loads

user or admin cookies are set in ./core/core_Get_Functions_sessions.php and will check against db authors table on every page load in function chkadmin() and will define( "_module_name", bool ), or _SUPER_ADMIN as a priority

after is_admin() check has been done, user sessions are include, and are checked against sessions db table, bans, authors.. etc

after the session are checked... everthing code wise everywhere else in all files will be wrapped in if( defined( "_IS_SUPER_ADMIN" ) || defined( "_IS_MODULE_ADMIN" ) ) {

else if ( defined( "_IS_USER" ) && !defined( "_IS_ADMIN ) ) {

else if ( defined( "_IS_ANON" ) ) {

while administration pages have a secondary check. and user pages have chkuser()

you can rename your user cookie to admin, and it will just get deleted, just like the ciphered string in the cookie is nulled with wrong passkey

coolstory bro. I haven't actually seen an element of the source that is NOT "vulnerable." it does not make use of sanity checking, and I don't see any attempts to mitigate SQL injection. this is just from bored cursory, searching.

I am impressed, though. really. I suspect that "null nuke" is some bastardized attempt thrown together by an Indian programmer on one of those bidding sites within a few hours. I would be impressed if you yourself had contributed any more than 1% of the code, because there's an alarming amount of it ... and almost every bit of it is nonsensical or insane. for a troll, that is amazing dedication.

you find a sql injection with access denied browser urls, ciphered cookie data, all posted plain text being protected stored in the database that is not just addslashes, because addslashes sucks, dbstore() protect is only simple and does main charectors to keep the database size down

none of the code is vulnerable, before the output buffer starts, page loads are in void, each page and user has a php thread to compile the page

its a whole new world of security, like i said in another post

if a site is running using null nuke, you cannot guess the sites cookie passkey used to cipher the cookie without hacking the box and getting into the mainconfig.php, nor can anyone open the cookie locally without just seeing a ciphered string after they have base64_decode() it

damn right.. if you put the sanitizer in debug and echo up all the spew message, most of the default myphpnuke code doesnt work

ciphering cookies is the future, there are many algorithm and custom php modules you can use null nuke method with but with blowfish encryption, but they are not available on free hosters or many paid domains with out asking for them to be installed, you just have to replace a line of code in mainfile.php

and php module encryption wont do short strings

why, i like making other people cry, and not actually caring nothing about anything i make that makes people cry

use it and run your own site, blog, personal, netstations, and so on, and make your own money

if you run a gangsta shoutcast netstation, you can easily make 400-600 £ amonth in adverst on website or stream, and get wrecked all night while "working" and having titties flashed in your face and so on, making nerds cry with clubland life online, and you can have a bling and secure site to use

or use for 1000s of other purposes without much hassle but a new theme

and its GPL. there is some scripts from dynamic drive for shoutcast side block drop in window and private message popup box, and some other, the sanitizer/mail was originally part of myphpnuke, the rss/mp3tags/shoutinfo was originall off phpclasses

cant sell it, but the rest is all mine

and doesnt have a cross platform filesystem that lets you "migrate" your site onto windows or linux servers whenever you want, or anything else

you dont have to update the whole site using null nuke for many years. just deprecated php functions in all the unified code, and your theme

null nuke is complete and more secure then any of you will every make using cakewalk +null nuke has a fully functioning forum that is better then phpbb and invision that none of you can code your self,

and null nuke has cross platform file system and full control over uploads and mime types and uploader that will return array of infinate uploads none of you can code yourself

and null nuke has everything else none of you can code yourself

make a database and import the sql/dump.sql, set it up in dbconfig/dbconfig.php and null nuke is installed and ready for action

none of you can code a calendar that is 40lines and 100% time() UTC
none of you can code captcha that is 50 lines

bro, any tard can code a site 100 time better than null nuke using cakephp in 100 lines and 20kb of compressed code

null nuke is a pile of junk that only would attract ukranian malware distributors, no shit no one here could possibly code that kind of a horrible pile of shit

it doesn't matter what it has, because no one needs what it has. cakephp lets you have exactly what you want without the hassle of learning your shitty capitalized underscore starting defines

and who the hell needs UTC time calendar? all normal people unlike you use local time.

just give up that pile of shit and rewrite your site using cake php. maybe then you could compete.

i just posted the next gen brutal security portal with bling code, more power then any other portal, and full cross platform on windows and linux and lets you migrate to any OS at anytime by just moving file and database.. and all other features of null you will not get anywhere else

many lurkers set up shit quake sites with wordpress etc, many file dumps get setup etc

null nuke can do them all, you just need a theme.......................

too bad if retards all want to post the same old shit all crying because they failed in life after years of trying to impress their moms, and i am nothing todo with their little internet boom, so they cry even more cos the middleclass think they rule the world

and the next release, you can run a full "commercial" shoutcast 2 radio station

can look like http://www.mastersofhardcore.com/ | http://www.nightmare.nl/2011/#nl/home.html | http://www.rige.net/
if you change the colors in teh css and replace the blue image block wrappers in the packages OEM theme for nulll nuke

No, the whole world calls .dll and .so files "libraries", or "shared libraries", or "dynamically loaded libraries". Drivers are specifically libraries that are loaded by the kernel to communicate / control (aka "drive") hardware.

no, the whole world calls them drivers

you go find a website or application or a application description on any linux or MS official website that calls them library dependency packages

on apache servers they are called modules

Microsoft:

What is a driver? http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/What-is-a-driver
A driver is software that allows your computer to communicate with hardware or devices

What is a DLL? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/815065
A DLL is a library that contains code and data that can be used by more than one program at the same time.
Also note that article also give the example of a "device driver" as a specific sub-class of of DLL that provides access to hardware.

I guess since you think you're developing drivers, you've installed the WDK (formerly konwn as DDK - Driver Development Kit) - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Driver_Kit - no? Guess that's because you don't develop drivers...

Linux (ubuntu):

What is a driver? https://help.ubuntu.com/11.04/ubuntu-help/hardware-driver.html
There are lots of different devices that can be attached to your computer. These can include things that are attached to it externally, like printers and monitors, to things that are inside the computer itself, like graphics cards and sound cards.

In order for your computer to be able to use these devices, it needs to know how to communicate with them. This is done by a piece of software called a device driver.

Good enough? If not, please find me at least one reference of someone else using the term "driver" to mean "dll" in the same way as you do.

Go for it then. Bet you cannot find anyone using driver away from device driver context.

just like the whole world in everyday talk when a dll or so file comes up in some random conversion, its a driver, not a library, might even be a ocx driver

no final release for that version. dev and random uploads are dev for development

there is no final in php, php is always changing and making existing function deprecated, then you have to update the code in your website to work correctly with the latest version of php

some portal are on verison 90.000, xoobs has been around for 10 years, its not running on php v0.0.1 beta

finals get upload to sourceforge and moddb

all the underground shoutcast stations will have a full bling portal to setup and run a franchise with an infinate number of servers and trancoders and relays all being able to be monitored on admin control panel, whether servers are local with full control or remote monitoring

yo, smoke ya herbz mun n bang out the tekno n kick ass, parties with the null nuke and some stanton st150s

null only needs a chatroom, ajax or irc, netstation is site is sorted for the community that follows

heres a dev that does shoutcast 2 servers and transcoder on your local desktop or dedicated box, get your hardcore gangsta shoutcast 2 stations all setup and running and fully automated, without any other pissing around with dj`s from around the world and jingles and adverts :

fixes missing database transcoder table
allows installing sc_serv and sc_trans as a service on windows with a click on the menu, and starting and stopping services on demand
allows adding dj`s
allows deleting of created servers/transcoders... server streams and transcoder encoder configurations
generate calendar events,
generate calendar playlists from mp3 in the contentdir etc etc
fixes 40ish random glitches when building and rewriting config files for sc_serv and sc_trans
fixes multiple server setups and configs not being listed correctly

adds djport/2 to sc_trans configuration page
adds adverts calendar event type to form
adds seconds to calendar event form
adds a 7 day schedule automatically generated from calendar events, if start date and time are left blank, when creating new events. 7 days is what sc_trans will use..there are no database checks, so overlapping shows will not show on webpage schedule but still get listed in calendar.xml, advert playlist events will not show on webpage schedule

amazing schedule http://nullnuke.netai.net/Clipboard03.png

============================================

how it works so far :

1>put :

logs\
vuimages\
sc_serv.exe
sc_trans.exe

in the streams/folder from shoutcast2 install

2>goto admin panel, and create a local server, and just click on the button without changing anything
3>create a new stream on the new page for the server control, and just click on the button without changing anything
4>create a new transcoder on the main shoutcast admin page, and just click on the button without changing anything
5>create a new encoder, and just click on the button without changing anything
6>in transcoder control page, goto contentdir, and upload some mp3, and generate a new playlist
7>in transcoder control page, add a new dj
8>open notepad and add the dj[s] as a event, and remote clients can connect using winamp and DSP souce with the dj login and passwords to the encoder id as teh stream is on the winamp DSP plugin
9>in server and transcoder pages, install them as a service if running on windows

10>start up the server and transcoder on the menu, and you can connect and listen to the shit

you can install them as a deamon on linux, but you cannot kill or shut them down, i cant be ass to parse the passthru and get the pid, php dont work on my suse

His name isn't patsy either, a patsy is a term given to someone who is gullible and easy to take advantage of.

Clearly my comparison was flawed :)

"i know long before what people are thinking and plan on doing long before they actually open their mouths"

That's because you're one dimensional and repetitive, so knowing what people are going to say to you is not a quality on your part.
Its simply that you do not have enough character/interests to ever invoke more than one or two reactions from people.

Your patsy example was a shattering insight into you oracle prowess.

few glitches in the install.php....

you will need to run these in phpmyadmin or when logged in to null nuke as super admin in the database admin panel... just paste the alter lines in phpmyadmin/SQL tab textarea, or null nuke/administration/database management/run sql queries textarea

ALTER TABLE `null_news_stories` CHANGE `catid` `catid` INT( 11 ) NOT NULL DEFAULT '-4';
ALTER TABLE `null_news_categories` CHANGE `topicid` `topicid` INT( 11 ) NOT NULL DEFAULT '-4';
ALTER TABLE `null_forum_posts` CHANGE `topic_id` `topic_id` INT( 11 ) NOT NULL DEFAULT '-4';
ALTER TABLE `null_forum_posts` CHANGE `forum_id` `forum_id` INT( 11 ) NOT NULL DEFAULT '-4';
ALTER TABLE `null_forum_topics` CHANGE `forum_id` `forum_id` INT( 11 ) NULL DEFAULT '-4';

change the 'null_ to the table prefix you set when you installed null nuke. main obvioud fix will be news articles being listed when a topic in selected in news archives, for new news articles added

Wow. I hope you're aware that you have countless security holes in the script as tyryl already seemed to have mentioned. I have no idea how one can make this kind of system that big in filesize lol. Pretty sure you could lose more than half of the filesize and still have the same functionality. As long as you don't optimize and fix the security holes no one will (or should) use this.

so you keep saying, you have still yet to post any. there are no security holes, you just need to know how it works

and wTF you talking about optimize, it has the cleanest code of any portal or opensource script and the most features to make it secure

and i know what is compiled server side and cannot be accessed because it is stored in serverside ram, and only cookie data and outputted page/file are sent to the viewer

It doesn't matter man.

You don't sanitize user submitted input properly -> XSS -> cookies can be stolen from your users.

(also you might want to read up about XSRF aswell)

Can't even believe you're trying to deny that hole, it seems you don't know jackshit about security. If someone's actually dumb enough to use your portalcrap instead of the safer+better alternatives already available he just deserves to be hacked/defaced imho. Goodluck and godspeed on your project.

what hole, you used a redirect and nothing more, that is as lame as

http://nullnuke.netai.net/search.php?search=site&query=q43a

instead of

http://nullnuke.netai.net/search.php?search=site

and not anything todo with security, and why do you keep talking about the sanitizer, when most of the original sanitizer does not work anyway

null nuke changes make most of it work, while html is 100% disabled in all posts and so on with all text being protected when being stored in database...

no1 can steal any cookie data, it is ciphered, you will just have a ciphered string, unless you hack the box null nuke is running on and get the backend config file where the cookie passkey is stored and used serverside to use stored cookie data send from the local user

you have`nt stole nothing, you get a cookie viewer, and open your null nuke cookie and see the base64_encoded string, then decode it using java like a SSL beast attack or any other base64_decode function in any other code,

then you will get a ciphered string you cannot do nothing with, unless you have the passkey and null nuke php cipher function, and the passkey is custom to any site admin that sets in on any null nuke site

not plain text in a:array:yo:and:username:and:password

the php files, you need to upload to your server and have a site like http://nullnuke.netai.net/ - a portal or cms,. after a 2second install, then you login and setup the site in administration/configuration... then its good for the public to use, better if you make your own theme

True, I just thought you had that purpose on the $_POST['submit'] check. That wasn't really the main point of my post anyways. I am again tempbanned from the host anyways so for now I can't really sploit moar. Shame cos I happen to be bored.

You gonna do anything about those CSRF holes? Pretty major league exploits.

PS. Funnily, you said there's no anti remote post checks. IIRC when I first tried sending remote post I got a message saying remote post is not allowed. Strange..

Supertired atm but I took a quick look.

User actions can (still?) be forged
PoC: external logout -> http://kyto.dez.fi/d.php
To fix this you need to check PHPSESSID (or a similar unique session key) before you allow users to do stuff.
Example 1: logout
1. Include sessid in the end of the logout link
?op=logout&sid=<?php echo session_id(); ?>
2. Check that the $_GET['sid'] matches session_id()
if( $_GET['sid'] == session_id() ) {
// do action
}
Example 2: form based actions
1. Add a new input to the end of each form containing sessid
<input type="hidden" name="sid" value="<?php echo session_id(); ?>" />
2. Check that the $_POST['sid'] matches session_id()
if( $_POST['sid'] == session_id() ) {
// do action
}

Can't be arsed to look for more security holes.

What I'd suggest is a total rewrite though. Mainly because the whole thing weights too much and it's pretty much the most clusterfucked thing I've ever seen but also because alot of the functionality is broken (account->profile etc).

null nuke is the cleanest coded portal/cms there is, accessing the logout page from any link http://hcore.comeze.com/login.php?op=logout will log you out, it means nothing

unlike http://hcore.comeze.com/admin.php and all other routes to hell pages

http://hcore.comeze.com/user.php?op=edituser&uname=username

Is another example I think. I could make a script that will change another person's account information.

And I certainly disagree that logout via xsrf "means nothing". It can be a huge annoyance to a user who visits 2 sites regulary and the other one will always log him out (breaking your portals "remember me"-function totally). For example if ESR had signatures I could put your logout link inside image bbcode-tags and you'd never stay logged in.

You totally misunderstood the point. The link I gave was an url to a form that is used to edit the specific users' account information (at least that's what it should've been, I might've picked wrong url). The form on that page can be submitted by using a forged http-request.

For example if I want to change your user info I can make a html page that contains a similar form which I target to your webserver then I use js to submit that form with prefilled information I put there. Now when I link the page to you and you open it, your browser will make the (almost)exactly same request as it would if you used the form on your page. The problem is that the form is not filled by you, I filled it and all you did was follow a random link which then edited your user as I wanted.

sure it is...

after the initial session check, every user page uses chkuser() to check the user session again or to send anonymous to the login page

there is no way around it, you cannot change the user cookie info because it is ciphered and will return null when not deciphered using the set cookie pass key serverside

yeah, your a nerd who cant work out nothing yourself, any one change setup a remote form and use the same page it means nothing, you cannot protect form fields

you can add 1 line of code

if ( isset( $_POST ) && !empty( $_POST ) && !$LOCAL_REFFERER ) {

echo "can post remotely";
die();

}

all post fields are protected when being stored in the database, text isnt protected using addslashes, all special cars are converted using the sanitizer, and dbstore() and dbfetch() function

I already provided an example on how to get rid of the problem, yet you claim it's not possible to fix.

Checking the referrer works, but it's alot worse option because referrers are sent by browser and some older browsers can be manipulated to bypass the referrer check. Browsers can also be configured not to send referrers. See http://pseudo-flaw.net/content/web-browsers/f...-spoofing/

if a bank wants some proper secure site they would run transaction forms on a subdomain using its own php server without register globals enabled

you can do what you are talking about on 99.99% of every website on the internet

I'm full of shit? lmao

You got one part right, alot of web-software indeed has unsafe user actions. Banks have no problem because they DO check the validity of the browser session (and usually have cookies expire pretty fast).

I never mentioned anything about register_globals. Everytime you attempt to say something technical it's WAY off the whole point. Is it easier to rant at me than fix your shit?

bank dont use cookies, your login cookie expires when you log out, the transaction page uses session_id() of php and raw $_POST and _HTTP vars _COOIKE for the thread the php servre is running, and the session if not included in the url will expire when the page has finished

Never heard of that before. It might be true but then again you can detect google's bots and leave that out for them. Maybe even better to not display sessids to all non-logged in viewers (unless needed, in which case you could check for search engine robots).

Interesting. I think it'd be hell of alot easier to just check through the user-agent ($_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT']).

http://nes-emulator.com/x_bot.php

Interestingly the article you posted also mentions the risks of using sessids in urls:
URL based session management has additional security risks compared to cookie based session management. Users may send a URL that contains an active session ID to their friends by email or users may save a URL that contains a session ID to their bookmarks and access your site with the same session ID always, for example. (www.php.net/session).
Which is pretty easily avoided imo. Just a simple redirect via headers (header('Location: x')) will get rid of this problem. At least for a logout that is. Using sessids in url should be minimal and done only when information is edited via the url (cookies/database).

the null now has dynamic modules and sideblocks, you do not need any code to add new modules or sideblocks, just upload the files +db tables if any, along with sideblocks custom to each module or inherit from a global setting

with main module info looking like

<admin_menu>Downloads</admin_menu>
<admin_weight>3</admin_weight>
<admin_access>radminpartner</admin_access>
<admin_group>Media</admin_group>
<module_name>Downloads</module_name>
<module_description>Description of module</module_description>
<module_functions>core_Get_Functions_Downloads|core_Get_Functions_comments</module_functions>
<module_config>config_downloads</module_config>
<module_theme>core_download_menu</module_theme>
<module_css>mpn_downloads.css|mpn_comments.css</module_css>

upload the latest 004 repack : https://sourceforge.net/projects/nullnuke/fil...1.3%20dev/

site is fully working, added install/uninstall to mod condig and administration of modules

added dynamica cookies to module config, setting names to any cookie your custom module uses

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

basics of the layout and inclusions :

module configurations are found in ./modules/

need to add $COREINFO = $_SERVER -> getmoduleinfo( forum.$phpEx /* configuration to parse */ ); to the top of any new module page

just $_SERVER -> getmoduleinfo( forum.$phpEx /* configuration to parse */ ); to any sideblock you make if block is using any external function.php

./modules/config.php

<admin_menu>Banners</admin_menu> //administrator menu name
<admin_weight>3</admin_weight> //not used
<admin_access>radminpartner</admin_access> //administrator column in authors database table used to filter non admins menu
<admin_group>Syndication</admin_group> //group of module /* not used yet*/
<module_name>Banners</module_name> //module name
<module_description>Have partners and advertisment banners</module_description>
<module_functions>core_Get_Functions_banners</module_functions> //main functions file ./core/core_Get_module.php, can have multiple using | to seperate
<module_config></module_config> //admin ./admin/config/config_mod.php if any
<module_theme></module_theme> //theme ./modules/block_template.php, can have multiple using | to seperate
<module_css>mpn_banners.css</module_css> //theme ./css/pages/ file, can have multiple using | to seperate
<module_database>1</module_database> //uses database and can add install/uninstall function to the bottom of the main module page
<module_file></module_file> //custom main page file name, if not set then administrator links will use the name of the module config
<module_cookie></module_cookie> //name of cookie module uses if any, can have multiple using | to seperate

will just add a new page to administration side block configuration

<admin_menu></admin_menu>
<admin_weight></admin_weight>
<admin_access></admin_access>
<admin_group></admin_group>
<module_name>index</module_name>
<module_description></module_description>

007 adds ffmpeg transcoding to file extension manager and upload with ffmpeg cli in ,/core/ffmpeg/bin/

the array is easy enough to work out if you add your own mimetype etc to trancode

$ff_out = array( 'mp3', array( 'ext' => 'flv', 'vcodec' => '-vcodec flv' ), 'roq', 'mpg', array( 'ext' => 'mp4', 'vcodec' => '-vcodec mpeg4' ), array( 'ext' => 'mpeg-4', 'vcodec' => '-vcodec mpeg4' ), 'swf', 'ogg' );

once added to array, just select the extension of ffmpeg output on the file type extension manager when adding a new allowed upload mime type

heres a script to convert an existing site to use the cache, you can probaly do comments yourself, set the content cache path in mainfile.php for security etc on your own site

http://nullnuke.netai.net/createcache.zip

to fix the forum in dev 11.

open ./core/core_Get_Functions_post.php and goto line number 442

after : and poster_id='$posterid'

add : and post_time='"._ACTIVE_PAGE_TIME."'
