I bought a Razer DeathAdder 3.5G and I'm extremely pleased with it's weight, size, shape, cable, and 2 side buttons. However, prior to this I used to play with this so... I guess I would have been extremely pleased with ANY mouse :D

I have average-sized hands. I'm using high sensitivity; I can change it and adapt to new values, but I'd prefer it to stay relatively high. I have a cloth mouse-pad. Regarding pricing: generally, I prefer value-for-money products, but if there's one option that no other can compete with, then I can spend more money than it's worth it. I'm almost sure I prefer lighter and smaller mice, although I'm open to suggestions.

FOR SCIENCE

Well, for high sensitivity, a user can benefit from higher cpi-settings, but anything above 2000 cpi is useless. Most of the mice are losing precision above this value and nobody, who plays at least a bit "seriously" uses higher values than that (400 / 450 and something around 1000 cpi is the most common).

I prefer a bit smaller and lighter mice too.

Note that some of the Abyssus mice (mainly older models) have jitter issues on cloth pads.

The price shouldn't be really a concern with these, because they're pretty cheap in general.
The best price / value is undoubtedly the Microsoft WheelMouse Optical 1.1a (124 x 66,6 x 39,6 mm, 79 g, 3 btn., 400 cpi, no predict.).
It's "bigger brother" is the Intellimouse 1.1a, which is essentially the same, just a tiny bit bigger (126 x 68,1 x 39,3 mm, 86,4 g) and has +2 buttons, one on each side.
Both of them has standard plastic feet.
The Zowie IMO1.1a is also the same as the MS IM 1.1a, just a premium release (paintwork, glides).

But any of the forementioned mouse in the previous post is a good choice, it really depends on personal tastes - including grip; almost every mice can be gripped in any way (except really small mice and palm grip doesn't fill the gap), it's just the matter of preference and the fact of getting used to it.

Why you think that? As far as I know the mouse sensor works on his maximum dpi no matter what(except few shit "high" dpi mouses). If you set lower dpi the mouse processor scale it to the lower value, but the sensor itself isn't affected. With means if you don't use native(i.e. max mouse dpi) you actually scale your sens nothing more. Correct me if I am wrong. Cheers!

Years of personal experience on various surfaces . These are not TFT monitors, where native works best. :)

If you don't believe me, look at the pros (If I don't, at least they know soemthing); none of them using higher resolutions than 1800 / 2000, but even less.

Kinzu V1 vs Kinzu V2 - your thoughts?

Kinzu v2 is better. No accel and minimal prediction at 400 & 800 DPI. Pro version has teflon skates and omron switches. Shell might not be to your liking though..

Well all the kinzu v2 PRO mice have a glossy shell. The standard kinzu v2 has one version that has a rubber coating, but it is not available everywhere since most retailers don't wanna stock 5 versions of the same mice :P
