WoW would be better if there were assistance points. Most people don't like communism and socialism because they don't understand the personal reward. In a game like WoW, we can find the direct merit in these systems. If you're in a group, naturally, it makes sense to help your group-members. What about the macro-group? If I buff a non-grouped member of the horde, I get nothing. Worse yet, I lose time and mana. If I gained points, to be spent on something worth a damn, helping my team would be helping me.

Video games can be excellent social science experiments. They can field-test potential government structures. And the answer to your question is still no, I do not work for government. There is no need to fear. If you attack me, government will not kill you... not on my command. Where I come from, only pussies turn to government. Everyone else handled their own shit themselves, no matter how fucked things got.

Alright foolios, here's what you do: Give the Horde assistance points and leave the Alliance without them. Then we can see which way works better.

The system i'm talking about is not really socialism. And yes, the government will kill you if you attack me. I don't work for government, I work with government.

Americans dislike socialism and communism because these systems are authoritarian. In the questioned system, your liberty is not abolished. You can buff someone if you want, or you can not buff them. Buffing them is mutually beneficial, whereas now, in the capitalistic warcraft world, buffing someone is almost always detrimental to the buffer.

Maybe i'm too much of a political scientist, but I think a video game world like WoW would be far more interesting if instead of two capitalistic forces fighting each other, it was on communist and one capitalist. It would be more realistic... people could learn more from it, and you could even produce political science advances through strategic conquest. Game-theory and war-games are not to be taken lightly. They can yield riches of knowledge at minimal cost.

WoW is outdated. The Alliance are white-supremacists fighting the Horde, a group of mixed-ethnicities. Bunch of racist bullshit fit for yesterday.

Let's say you instituted communism for the Horde. By communism, I mean all money gained was split evenly among every member of the Horde. The low-level players could sit there doing nothing, getting rich from the higher level players. The solution is, in reality, to imprison the people do nothing. This is why most people dislike communism. There is another solution... you could arrange for a set of requirements. You only receive your share of money upon completion of set requirements.

In this version of communism, you are not imprisoned, you merely have no money. You are not forced to work, or complete your requirements, but if you don't, you will have no money. In the wow-world, of course, money is not the main objective anyway. You gain little by sitting around doing nothing, accepting free money. The requirements could be something like, to gain a certain amount of xp points or sell a certain amount of items, or gain a percentage equivalent to everyone else in money. Low-level players work just as hard for only a fraction of the money. Shouldn't equal amounts of hard-work be rewarded equally?
