I don't thin the bottles in the middle contain real beer, probably malt beer, gotta start young :)
that leaves 19 bottles of beer and 4 bottlesof wine. I agree that's a little on the high side for an average family (with two kids below 16).
If you included kids above 16, then it would probably be higher :)
As for the prices, they do look like people who buy only organic vegetables and meat and that's where it gets really expensive.
fish is more expensive per kg than meat, but I think meat is second.
dairy products are diffrent. milk and joghurt is cheap, cheese expensive and so on.
LOL
depends on the region.
The area where I was born is most note for it's Korn distillers and drinkers.
8 years ago my boss back then had a brunch with five new inhabitants of assited living appartments for elderly people. Ages between 65 and 90. He told me after later that he had to go buy new schnaps after 1,5 hours cause he had only brought 4 bottles...
as I said here it really differs from region to region. e.g. in Bavaria you are allowed to drink a beer during lunchbreak, in Cologne they drink water instead of beer (:P), and where I was born beer was the stuff you drink in between shots, because it doesn't really get you drunk.
I think a comparison inside Germany would be difficult so I guess with another country would be even worse.
Buying alcohol might be off, cause Swedes buy quite a lot of beer here and take it home.
you sure? sometimes i'm quite shocked when i see 14-16yr old girls go "party". if they have the chance to drink alcohol, they do drink a lot. hard stuff, too.
seen on a free rockfestival in my city last week. hordes of emo teenagers all over the place.
I once got drunk under the table (is that an English expression??) by a 16-year-old girl in my class, she was pretty, too.
She drank 2 bottles of "Roten", cherry jiuce with amaretto and wodka with about 15% alcohol. I quit after one and a half bottles :(
Different kinds of alcohol and getting used to it, you can drink a bottle of sparkling wine get drunk fast and almost feel nothing two hours later.
Personally, I started out with wine, then went to booze, cause I didn't like beer as a teenager.
My record, when I was 16, was 4 or 5 bottles of dry red wine. Which made me somewhat less drunk than a bottle of bacardi mixed with coca cola.
