ESL Major Series Season VI � Quake Live 4on4 TDM

Last thursday 4Kings and Fnatic met in the EMS Winnerbracket final. Both teams on the field were missing one of their top players,

JoCKo from 4Kings and

Deus from Fnatic.

Lineup & Scores

Presumable Fnatic will emerge victorious from the Lowerbracket so Fnatic and 4Kings could be once again face each other, this time in the Grand Final. Fnatic must win 2x Bo3 in the Grand Final, thats the rule coming from Lowerbracket. Grand Final will be played after the ESWC event, that means in two weeks.

For all people who missed the game, LvLup just released the VoD from the thursday match. It seems right now to watch onsite isnt working so download the file (600 MB on Fileplay). Shoutcast from

Tonight and tomorrow evening the EMS6 QL TDM Playoffs will see the 2nd batch of games played! We're up to the WB semi-finals and the first LB round. Two teams will be leaving us while two other will make it into the top4.

The Group Stage matches of the ESL Major Series 6 Quakelive TDM are now all finished. And the first Playoffs match will even get played tonight! The format used is the same as the one used last season: Double Elimination and bo3 matches. Here are the groups rankings and the matches of the WB round 1:

The groups for the ESL Major Series VI Quakelive TDM has just been published after being announced on ESL TV tonight. The 4 groups of 4 teams were made by using the following seed pools:

Top seeds (top4 from last season): Fnatic, 4Kings, LowLandLions, SKZI
High seeds: Frontline, beton, notexec, xentorium
Medium seeds: Excello, deluxe, FAT, iMmune
Low seeds: idk, Druidz, refuse 2 Lose, Metsu

The matches will be starting new week, and the default day/date for them will be Thursday 14:00 CDT. See below to discover the groups after their drawings!

A maximum of 16 teams will be able to participate and the cup will use a single brackets and bo1 matches. The rules and map pool remain the same as the last season. The top3 teams will see themselves qualified for the EMS6.

The 4 qualification cups for the next EMS VI Quakelive TDM have been announced and will start with the first cup on Wednesday, 24th March at 14:00 CDT. The top3 teams from each of these qualification cups will earn a slot for the Group Stage. As the number of participating teams in this new season will be 16, the top4 teams from the previous season are getting a direct invitation.

Some cups from the 5th season of the ESL Major Series are not yet finished, but tonight the ESL Already announced the EMS VI! This new season will feature a total of 13 000� in prize money for the 14 cups planned. It will take place between March and July 2010.

Cups details

Compared to seasons 4 (20 500�) and 5 (15 500�), which both included 14 cups, the overall cash prize is still getting lower. For Quakelive TDM, this second appearance in the EMS will be rewarded with 750� while the first one offered 1 000�.
