My co-op days are also long long gone heheh....

for consoles, I have mostly only played SNES games... the only coop games I tried and liked were King of Dragons or Zombies Ate my neighborhoods. :P

However yeah, I haven't played a huge amount of console games either so sorry if I can't suggest a really huge list.

The LEGO games have an amazing coop design. Start with the older ones (star wars) and play them in order, as the later ones stink. You can skip the Indiana Jones ones, imo. Games are for PC.

been putting off smash bros for a week, i cant get the image out of my head that the control pad is going to fly out of her hands and smash the tv.

Goal 3 is actually a bootleg after the Japanes game "Kunio Kun no Nekketsu Soccer League" and it is one of the best soccer games ever.
i used to play this non-stop as a kid with my neighbors 2 vs 2. it sucked that the game text was almost entirely in Japanese, we had to learn the menus and options by trial and error, luckily these days there's an English rom hack :D

anyway, a reboot of this game with HD/3D graphics and online play would be absolutely smashing.

You can install Dolphin and play Wii games on your PC. You can buy 2 Wiimotes and put 2 candles next to your TV or monitor and play (you might want to look for more precise instructions)

Serious Sam FE and SE are great, just turn on unlimited ammo and never let go of the trigger.

Serious Sam 3 is pretty great too for coop and survival mode
