- no edge of seatness, although that jumping over the rocket was impressive

CFG had a bunch of issues (ugly keels, maybe a tad too much fx...) some of it was nice though (i liked the fragmessage and rewards position)

Frags were ok but the scenes were too long and nothing really stood out

I really liked the visuals, but I hated the music, no sync. The whole thing frag wise was overall good for me, due to the continious runs. 8/10 Keep it up!

Nice frags & flagruns but left me thinking "could use more material"

Was ok, not that many interesting frags. Too many quad runs and he seemed stacked for most of them.

Expected more amazing runs, and soundtrack didnt fit my personnal taste.

But still enjoyable, nice work. We need more CTF movies.

Unfortunately I didn't have many saved demos/times and this was put together in under a week by mellow to have it released before qcon. I'm sure we'll work on something bigger soon enough :) gG

i didnt like the config. the gameplay was amazing but the fragquality wasnt mindblowing, fuck it its id_ and its ctf have a 9

No I just generally don't think the frags in both CTF and TDM are as impressive as duel frags. Often its Quad frags or frags where the opponent is occupied shooting other stuff and all you watch is really a player hitting his shots on someone running around.

Not always the case but that is mainly the reason why I think they can be slightly boring :)

I've always thought that same way about team mode frags...sure there are plenty of nice ones but I think duel frags are always just so much more impressive for that reason

Well the movie wasn't about the frags. That's mainly why I put the obituaries on top. It's about his quad-runs and flag-runs, which are the core of CTF action.

I would also prefer to some day see just a compilation of the best flag runs in stead of the typical mix of frags and some runs.

I'm sure we'll be working on a second movie. Like id_ mentioned, this was just a week-long project crunched in before QuakeCon, with not very many demos recorded. A higher quality run movie is on our to-do list.

Good movie but I've seen id_ pull off way better runs almost daily in pugs/matches past 3 years now.

Id have to agree 100%. I think this vid had too many quad runs for my liking. id_ constantly makes something out of nothing and he does not need quad to do it! I personally liked the music and the cfg but the action was sub-par for me personally. Just my opinion though, don't mean poop!

Thanks everyone! This was a last-minute project that we wanted to get done before QuakeCon to get in the spirit of CTF. Id_ himself is pleased with the movie, but disappointed he didn't record more games to show off. With the high demand for "something out of nothing" runs, we may just see some at QuakeCon ;)

i like watch intro Quake movie where is intro ?. Good quality and smoothness. Interesting hud. a few Frags good other not spectacular only good game.however.Whole makes a good impression
