we do stream games of our own league, but Quake Live only have a Wednesday Slot, because we have so many games and tournaments, it's impossible to stream all games on our own and imho I think it's rather nice when there are several different casting/streaming channels which broadcast the games.

It brings a bit of diversity into streaming and as long as the games are streamed, which they are in 90% of the cases it should be fine.

Yeah I agree, it doesnt matter who does the streaming but it should be ESL's responsibility to make sure there is going to be a stream in advance instead of looking for one a few hours before the games and hope to get lucky.

Great service otherwise 8)

We always try to get streams in advance, but lately the games are scheduled on very short notice and players moving games around a lot, so it's hard to plan stuff, but we are always in contact with streamers and try to arrange everything.

btw. guys like rax, nvc, GreasedScotman and Crystal Method etc. deserve a round of [+] for their streaming!

well he has a point, i am actually thinking about cancelling my prem abo because i only watch quake at esl-tv and i feel a bit dissapointed. not by the quality, just by the amount of content. would be cool if you could just buy prem for one game or even single shows

That's like 40 cent per hour, not counting events. I'll obviously cancel my subscription right away when they stop showing quake but as long as they are I'm glad to have an easy way to support it. At least I'll have some justification to whine about lack of tourneys then ;)

HolySh1t is lagging for me. QuakeLive TV has match better stream so please guys from holysh1t change the server from which you are streaming because it could be the reason, but I'm not sure. Anyway "watchquake" channel it's full of lags so probably I won't watch any matches live : (

correct, though maybe not for the reasons you think?

I guess you based it on the total group map ratio of the group (as displayed on the rankings page), but it is actually the map ratio of the matches played between the tied players

so cypher+1, qrebo+0,zamuz-1 :)

Surprisingly (luckily) the order shown there is actually correct for a change!

I also find 10 min easier to spectate, especially during long match streaks on major tourneys. OTOH, i can understand it adds some randomness due to heavier initial spawn importance. Sort of like max rounds 12 versus 15 in counter strike. Don't really think it adds that much +back time in absolute terms, players start thinking about it at ~5 min left no matter what the timelimit is imo.

av3k was incredibly lucky on ztn, survived with 1 hp once, due to noctis picking wrong weapon and then was caught totally offguard by noctis,in a corner but some how he managed to kill noctis as he ran out of rockets or some shit like that.

well he was lucky, but the last situation was kinda noctis beating himself
noctis dropping down to av3k without jumping was a nice suprise but then after a good first and second rocket he tried to hit an airrox instead of switching to lg, thats what cost him the frag imho

Lol at av3k taking shards while noctis has almost taken the 2nd RA for free and trying to gauntlet noctis and getting killed inspite of taking RA. There was much more weird staff from av3k. Though his risk taking games are always exciting to watch

I did know. So yeh maybe noctis has to worry more about his group since the easier the group the easier to reach the World Championship.
Allthough I don't think there will be any easy groups. The nr.1 and 2 of the qualifier groups are just all pretty damn good.

Still doesn't change the fact that you have to beat everyone to win it. If he doesn't survive his group then he doesn't deserve to go to the World Championship either. To me it seems some players have passed noctis the last months. While he skipped DH and Dubai people got better and he missed the much needed topnodge tournaments.
