..are the ones that never knock

Disillusioned, that be me. About to end my second year at college having only achieved a pass in BTEC Business Studies. Granted an amazingly boring subject - only option having been royally fucked over by me first college. Now this isn’t because I’m thick, far from it (hrhr) - but college has a habit of de-motivating you. People seem to think dragging a subject out over a longer period of time increases the likeliness for success, idiots. Teachers are condescending morons obsessing over “new teaching methods“.

Now explain coursework to me, what’s the point? It doesn’t show a persons cleverness, understanding or how much they’ve learnt - it reflects how motivated a person is. For those not in the know, your teacher goes through the assignment and offers guidelines, you then submit a first draft which is marked and feedback given. You then have the opportunity to correct any mistakes and, if you can be arsed, improve the grade. Which is resubmitted and the process repeated. What a waste of time!

So I’m sat here finishing my 4th essay on Recruitment and Selection, repeating for the fourth time why “it is important for the HR department to adhere to Government legislation so they don‘t discriminate…” (yawn) and I can’t be fecked. There’s gotta be a better way. I’m the guy that breezes through with minimal effort getting satisfactory grades so I guess I’ve got it coming.

What next? I’ve an awful attendance record at both colleges and have effectively wasted the past two years of my life. Countless career advisors (useless twats) and I’m clueless. Destined for a life stacking shelves they said.

I be looking for hope, there’s gotta be someone that can offer me hope. Do you really need to achieve at college to get a decent job? Guess I need an idea, thresh mate, you around?
