DX generations are like Christmas. They come sooner or later, but they come, everyone makes a massive deal about it for months before it actually arrives, shops try to hype it up so they can move more products, everyone gets drunk, people stop caring 3 days (at most) after it happens.

still they changed alot, and when making new maps, they do some shitty bsp work or something, that alot of ppl have problems on those maps.

you should be less interested in opengl. old opengl engines cant handle the newer libraries due to size and run out of buffer or something, even nvidias drivers are getting too bulky the last time i tried.

DirectX is dead.

It'll be another 4+ years after dx12 comes out before any game really utilises it.

OpenGL is best.
