fair enough. anyone actually playing with it? its just when i play with 800dpi and without drivers it feels A LOT different than playing with 800dpi and driver.

For gaming, forget about SetPoint.

And if you need SetPoint because you want to bind the buttons, then I highly recommend getting "X-Mouse Button Control" instead: http://www.highrez.co.uk/downloads/XMouseButtonControl.htm

That way SetPoint won't fuck up your game with giving you negative acceleration and what not, and still let you bind all the buttons.

it might be just me, but I've been playing for years with a mx518 on a 65 cm/360 setup @125 hz WITH setpoint, and I've never had any sort of negative acceleration, nor any problems.

Curiously enough, when I switched it to 500 hz, it started skipping all over, but I never thought about correlating the issue to the drivers, I just assumed it was the hz switch.

Maybe beacause you have the first gen of the MX518? (1600 cpi max, non-G5 glides)
The gliched driver is only for the Mx518 v2 (1800 cpi max, G5's feets).

doesn't matter, drivers are a waste of resources for this mouse.
