both have the same sensor, as does the intellimouse 3.0
i'm using a WMO right now, and i can assure you it's not crap

they apparently have the same sensor as the 3.0, but when you try to compare them, its totally different, on the same cfg. dunno.

there's a wheelmouse optical 1.1 as well as an intellimouse optical 1.1. cs players tend to call the IMO "1.1".

these do handle 500hz right? Tempted to get one since they seem to be <£10 and seem to be well praised.

yes they do

some handle 1000hz and some only go to 600/700hz but they all pass 500hz

hopefully getting an intelli 1.1 next week

If you are right handed and use a palm grip, rather than "claw" style grip, then go with the Intellimouse Explorer 3.0.

That's what I used and it's definitely a step up from my old MX300! =))))
