I think raising atleast four times the big blind would have been a better idea pre-flop, and your raise at the flop could have been higher as well. That way Orangina would have folded pre-flop or at the flop since he didn't hit his set, but you made him see the turn for cheap where he hit his set. But the main problem at the low limit tables is that many players don't understand card value and since the blinds are so low people will usually bet about anything.

Its something in between, you have to take into account the limits your playing at. At 0.02/0.05 hardly anyone will make a correct laydown when they can still suck out.

And limit holdem in itself is very 'suckout' friendly due to its pot odds giving nature

Why's that? It requires different skills for sure... I play both forms a lot, and pot limit in live cash games quite often - I don't really consider one form more skilful than another. Live pot limit tournaments tend to work out better than no limit though, you see a lot more flops...

That's not a bad beat, that's low limit where anyone can afford to call you all the way to the river since they're only losing candy money regardless. If you understand the odds you wouldn't let something like that bother you, and if it does bother you stop playing at that limit and move up. You can sure as hell bet your ass nobody calls me with nothing on the flop in no-limit for a third of their stack ;)
