One thing I've never understood is how you convert acceleration. A higher dpi would jump you higher up the curve, right? Every bone in my body says that accel at one dpi will never be the same at a different one.

Oh yeah that actually makes sense. I still use all mice at as close to 400dpi as possible though. Even with that conversion I've never been happy with the feel at higher dpi values.

Nah I used my FK at 1150dpi for a while, but it just felt weird. When I changed to 450dpi the accel just had a different feel to it. Maybe it's all in my head, but I just can't get any Quake accel to feel right if it isn't close to 400dpi.

conversions for 361 are:

newsens= (361/400)*3=2,7075
accel= [(361/400)^2]*.14=0.114030875
newsenscap= (361/400)*6.95=6.272375

coz senscap was 6.95 and not 6.8 IIRC

Guys, don't underestimate the effect of the senscap on the feel of the accel curve, relatively small changes seem to effect the accel feel quite dramatically.

It's so hard to change mice and keep same feel when accel involved, just a little bit of inaccuracy on measured dpi messes up any and all calculations. Best scenario is to get it close on settings then tweak for feel, stick with it and muscles will soon adapt. I've had this problem with my pair of g400's, same mice but quite different settings with them!

Weight, shape, LOD, sensor position... these changes can make a mouse feel different even if the settings were actually perfectly set up.

Yes it is, but it feels a lot more different than I would expect when i've tried changing between the two.

Yes that is one of the reasons I did this. I want him to be more comfortable with his aim and kick even more ass.

wrote him in stream, he should try his old settings with the g303, setting it to ~350 dpi. :P

(and also when he still was using the g9x, to set it to that dpi, without the driver crap)

I'm not so confident in these numbers.

We don't know what driver version K1llsen was using, and no one has verified pvh's numbers.

I am fairly certain the values should remain the same with the different version of the set point drivers. I would be very surprised if they weren't. But there are drivers in some of k1llsen's config folders which we could check the driver versions.

1. K1llsens old sens was at 1000 dpi and at sens 3 from the driver - do these numbers take the driver sens into account?
2. Have you also included the inbuilt acceleration inherent to the g9x?

1 iirc the driver had sens 2. And this is why it's a bit difficult to translate everything.

You set anglesnapping in logitech drivers, not in config.

I am aware aware of that. In his config folders he has a text file with his Logitech settings that he uses.

the g9x has a high lift off vs g303's super low lift off, which means he lifts the mouse less, which could be why.

his aim is just as good as it was was with the g9x btw, if not better

If u also prac n use his foundametals and techniques you will get better. Also this is not whas happening necessarily
