"Also found it pretty strange that players decided to moan about the prize distribution after the event was over. They had months of preparation, knowing what they were getting themselves into. There was plenty of time for competitors to forward suggestions and criticisms before the event. Although I can understand the players being disappointed about not pocketing themselves some cash, to me it made those players look slightly bitter and ungrateful - what did they think their comment was going to change? Definitely one thing that 'pro level' Quake lacks, integrity."
Who was forced where?
It's not like the terms of going to school for example are negotiated, yet you still accept them when you start your education.
I don't think you really understand what 'integrity' means. No matter how displeased you are with your financial net gains/losses at an event, passively aggressively bitching about the format of the tournament in public after you lose just makes you look childishly sour.
